Question about LG Televison & Video
When I turn on the power the lg logo will appear then the screen will turn black. I can hear the sound mean the program is running.
If the TV will not be turned off, then you have a problem with the card or inverter circuit, but prior check filter capacitors of the source (which are not embombados, loss of capacity), if you see well, now check the Inverter (there may be loose solder if the TV is new, especially in transformers high, a defective MOSFET, transformer and test compares the lamps)

SOURCE: no picture
It sounds like the backlight is out. If you can see a faint image that changes then this is the case. You either need to send in for repair or replace. It can if you are lucky be a connection. You can try removing the video cable and try another source or cable.

it seems to be a bad connection somewhere but I disconnected the ribbon cable and got a verticle line of snow instead of a blank line. the line is about 34 mm wide and starts 285 mm from the left edge starts on the Blue and goes to the Red pixels. so if they are 1mm wide that would be 34 bands of color.
I would sure like to figure out the solution to this one or I got a TV I need to throw away cause the o'lady is gonna bust my balls if I can't fix this!

I had a similar problem after having a Vizio for 2 and a half years. I
left the room for a minute, i came back and the screen went black. I didnt hear an arcing sound though.
There was still power to the unit and you could see that the back light
was working, just no picture, no sound, and you couldn't use any of the
buttons. The only way to turn it off was to unplug it. It would then
start up, with the Vizio logo going from orange to white, and then do
the same thing all over, no pic or sound. I would check the ceramic fuse first on the board that gets power from the plug.
HOW I FIXED MINE: I ordered a new "main PCB" from tigerdirectparts.com (you can also use searspartsdirect.com). This is the circuit board with all of the inputs on it (hdmi, cable, etc.) I opened it up, disconnected the old one, put in a new one and now it works fine.I used both serial numbers on the board to search for it online. It cost me $144 to do it, but that's better than $450 for a new TV. My tv is the vx32l hdtv10a. I hope that helps.
