Question about Televison & Video
I have an LG 47LH40. It used to skip the unused inputs but now I have to cycle through all the inputs before getting to the ones I am using. This was after the tv went to power only mode (which I fixed thanks to this site). Is there a setting for that on that model?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Input setting
When you turn off the set, are you turning it off by running the power through a cable or satellite box? If you are shutting down the set from the AC mains side the set can lose all of its user set-up. In most TV models, the main power supply must have the AC mains connected.
The power supply goes in to a standby mode when the TV is turned off by its own power switch (not by the AC mains). The supply puts out enough power to keep the uPC and the user memory active.
If the set is properly turned off and it is losing its user set-up, it is possible that there is a fault in part of the uPC circuits. Depending on the model of set, there may be a lithium battery, or memory capacitor, or an EEPROM for keeping the user set-up memory.

1080p video resolution can only be achieved by a Blu-ray Disc. Satellite TV, broadcast TV, cable TV do not actually send out 1080p resolution. So unless you are using a Blu-ray movie, you will not be viewing 1080p. Your HDTV has a NATIVE screen resolution and the TV will SCALE all incoming video to its native resolution. Most people cannot tell the difference between 720p and 1080i. 1080p signal sources are slightly sharper. But if you have a HDTV that is 1080p capable and you give it a 1080p source (Blu-ray Disc) and use a HDMI cable to connect, you will get 1080p, you do not have to change the HDTV as it will automatically display 1080p.

SOURCE: i have a 26' led LG TV , and i am using a new set top box . when i am joining the tv from set top box and going in AV mode , its showing input blocked, i can not use set top box services. please h
Please provide a model number for this TV, I would have thought being an LED tv that you wouldn't be needing a set-top box as it would be digital already.
