This is a very common issue, and fortunately the repair, although time consuming, isn't difficult.

Pop the top of the console (not the woodgrain part) off, disconnect the trac control button and lay aside. Remove the rubber mat on the bottom of the storage compartment. Remove the two 10mm bolts in there, the two to the rear of the shifter and one on each side of the very front end of the console by your feet.

Remove the ashtray, then carefully work the console rearward enough to get the climate module out, 1997 03 Buick Regal climate control display repair part 1

It looks like the entertainment center and climate control bezel should be removable, w/out pulling the dash. You can get a diagram from your dealer's parts dept.

1995 Buick Climate Controls Going Crazy

Same thing happened with my 95 park avenue a few weeks ago. I talked to a guy I know who is a GM mechanic and he says that the module (the thing on the dash with all the buttons and the temperature display) is broken and needed to be replaced. These computer modules just get funny with age and eventually have to be replaced. You can find one pretty easy on ebay motors. It's not hard to replace, you just have to take apart the dash and take out the old module and put the new one in. Hope this helps!

No air conditioning, flashing climate light

You should make sure you have proper charge for sure.has your battery gone dead lately? I know on some of them digital climate controls will act exactly like this and have to be reset or go through a setup sequence.

You need a blower control module ... located under the relays and fuses on the firewall.

They run about $150.
