Taking apart
I took mine apart by removing the small screws that hold it together. my top fan cage was broken and loose. I glued it back together and the next day I just reassembled it and it works fine.. just look at what you are doing and dont FORCE anything common sense should allow you to do this... I am a retired auto mechanic 80+ years old and it did not give me any trouble until the e-clip jumped off, but I found it and all is well.. the screws are shiny and the case is black, so take them all out and lay in a pattern so you can reverse the pieces for reassembly..

the audio IC or audio transistor needs to be replace have a tech do the job.or start to shop for a new set.my advice is to buy a new one it will be pretty expensive to repair if the set does not want to spin the cd you also have problem in the power supply.good luck
