Sounds like you have a bucket impact sprinkler. These are problematic as they tend to beat themselves into non-operation from the moving parts involved and the impacts. They stop turning for a number of reasons, low water pressure, dirt and debris filling the bucket impeding rotation, plants covering the sprinkler etc. If no debris is found and others continue to work on same zone the water pressure is probably unchanged it may just be tired. I suggest replacing it using a pop-up rotor preferably a Hunter PGP-ADJ or PGJ-ADJ Rotor as rotors have only 1 moving part a gear which is sealed inside the sprinkler making them very dependable.

I just bought a 4-12x40 trophy xlt rifle scope with an adjustment of numbers on the bell. What is it?

That is a parallax adjustment. You set it for the distance you are shooting at. It appears to be marked in both yards and meters. This adjustment assures the reticle does not appear to move when your eye is moved slightly from side-to-side. Set it for 200 and look at a target at 50 and move your head very slightly side-to-side and you will see the difference.

How adjust distance

Turn the sprinkler on. Go to the sprinkler and at the center of the pop-up nozzle you should find a screw. If the screw is there, it can be tightened or loosened to adjust the spray distance.

I have a Nelson Pulsating sprinkler and can't figure out how to make it go all the way around

See if the stop that makes the sprinkler reverse by hitting the adjusting rings can be lifted up so that it doesn't hit the adjusting rings.

I have low water pressure on my rainbird sprinkler system. how can i adjust it?

There are several ways to adjust water pressure on sprinkler systems. First you have to determine if there is a problem with the sprinkler system itself. Things to look for:
1.) make sure that all valves including the main are all the way open.
2.) Inspect the sprinkler heads for clogging. Sediment and debris can also clog your sprinkler heads. Some debris removal may be required.
3.) You make have too many sprinklers operating by one valve. You may need to divide a zone and add another valve to increase water pressure.
4.) If all else fails. You can install a breather intake cap to allow air into your sprinkler system thus increasing GPM (gallon per minute)flow.
5.) one of the biggest mistakes that peopel make is that they undersize the water pipe size to save money. Typically you want to use 3/4" PVC pipe for your main runs and tee into 1/2" PVC for your sprinkler heads.
Good luck. I hope this helps.

Impulse sprinklers stick after cloclwise rotation; no return

i wouldbet it is a pressure related problem , can you isolate them so you are only running 1 at atime? at least reduce the number of sprinklers running at the same time just to test them, drop the number by1or2 and i`m sure your problem will be fixed youdoit

Hunter sprinkler head adjusting...

I googled Hunter sprinkler heads and where to purchase them. In my area (the East bay, Tri-Valley) in Nothern California.

I went to Ewing Irrigation in Dublin, CA and found the Hunter sprinkler heads there. The man working the counter got two for me and he demonstrated how to change the head by unscrewing it from the base at or just below ground level by removing the old one and screwing in the new head. He also showed me how to adjust them with the spray pattern. You will need the little tool that comes with the sprayer head.

Making sure the center arrow is completely to the left and rotate the head to the right then back to left. They are set to a 180% spray pattern from the manufacturer. If you want a bigger pattern you turn the adjuster toward the ( + ) side and if you want less pattern you turn the adjuster to the ( - ) side. He showed me how to install the red sprayer inserts by simply pushing them in the cavity making sure the little u shaped indentation is pointing up to allow for the set screw to go through to adjust the spary. The spray varies in distance and amount of water being emitted from the head depending upon the insert used.

I was able to replace the Hunter head, adjust the spray and changed out the insert a few times until I found the one I liked. I used needle nose pliers to remove the initial spray insert that the man @ Ewing installed until I found the one that worked best.

I found using needle nose pliers makes it very easy to grasp the little inserts for replacing.
