If this does not clear the PC Life Warning or Replace Photoconductor message, power off the printer and attempt this entire procedure again. If the error remains after two attempts, confirm that:

  • The correct photoconductor unit is installed. The part number on the photoconductor unit should be E250X22G. If it is not, install the correct photoconductor unit into the printer.

  • The photoconductor unit has not been refurbished by a third party or is not damaged in any way. If the photoconductor unit was refurbished by a third party or appears to be damaged, try replacing it again before seeking service on the printer.

What shoud I do when error 84 replace

Hello,
Photoconductor is the part of the printer where the image gets created this is a very delicate and important part in the Laser printing process. If you open the printer and remove the toner, you should see it sometimes is like a green or blue color. The message 84 is just telling you that the photoconductor has reached the end of life and needs to be replace. Here is also a link on how to do the replacement http://bit.ly/bn2HFc

When display "84 replace Photoconductor" appears, and we put aq new photoconductor into the printer, the same error message above comes back, and we can get by this point.

Turn printer off. Press and hold the right arrow and checkmark. While holding, turn printer on. Hold button combination until small clock appears on the screen. Once menu comes up, select the Reset PC count. That will fix your issue.

Paper jams

there are two parts to the copy of this machine, one is the photo conductor (drum, green cylinder ***'y) and the toner which fits in the drum ***'y.
you replaced the drum but you need to replace the toner as well (low toner)
then turn off and hold the start key an dturn on to get into service mode, scroll to reset photo count, select.
