NO WATER OR SHAMPOO

Bisset porheat 2x shampooer model 9300 does not dispense water or shampoo. Can I replace the pump myself or does it have to go to a shop for replacement. If I can do it myself, is there a schematic that can be had on line?

GARNETML, tnx a bunch for your solution. You were RIGHT ON with your analysis however it was not only clogged at the red spray fixures but it went all the way back into the line. As it turned out, I had it professionally cleaned out for 40 bucks. Well worth the expense as I'm sure I would have run into all the problems you described and would have ended up taking it in anyway to cover what I screwed up. lol

The secondary solution is to make sure you go throught the rinse process after each use to clean out the lines. Apparently, this had not been done in the past (daughter's shampooer).

    Thanks again!!

I had a problem with no water or shampoo coming out of the main unit but did come out of the hand tool. Someone had the answer posted here and if I could find it, would refer you there as it was much more technical. My wording is more like, little red thingie under the water tank. Saved me buying parts or taking it in for service. Anyway, here goes:

Remove the water tank. On the base unit, there are two little red things, one on each side. Squeeze the clips together to remove the red things. There is a hole where each of these red things were. Clean these holes out from loose hair, dirt, etc. Then using a toothbrush or other small brush, clean the little red things. These are the actual sprayers. They can get clogged.

The poster that I got this from also explained how to remove the little red clips from the hoses and how to clean them, but they noted that it was pretty easy for the spring to shoot up inside the hose and to be real careful. I do not have the details on that. It was simple to remove and easy to clean, but you had to make sure and hold the spring. Mine worked without doing that but my husband took it apart anyway just to make sure it was all clean. You can search this site for the full description in more technical terms on the hoses and clips and cleaning them. It was on the fixya site.

They loose there prime on the pump when not in use. You can call custmer support on how to do it exactually right but here is how I do it. Take off front nose on the unit. Take off the water tank. Turn on and let it run for 1 minute. Turn off and put water tank (with liquid in it) on the front of the unit, under the nose that you removed. Perfect fit but looks odd. Turn on let it run for 30 seconds and test( push Spray button). When it starts working remove and put back tank and nose cover. It should work as the pump is now primed.

I had the same question 4 months ago and called Bissell.

does your shampooer have a cap on the shampoo tank. Usually you take the cap off to let the shampoo out while shampooing and to pick up the water you put the cap back on to create a vacuum to suck the water off the floor..

Bad Pump. You pump is where the belt attaches to spin the brushes and also puts water on the floor. Take it to you local Best Buy to be serviced or a local appliance shop which may service it.

Cleaner Solution Not Dispensing On Bissell 9200 Pro Heat Cleaner

I haven't had this particular issue (yet... knock on wood!) with my Bissell, but remember that the shampoo will not dispense with no water in the tank (the most common cause of this issue because sometimes you think it has water but it doesn't) or water not flowing through the machine due to clogged sprayers-- another issue-- but since you're getting water on the floor that is not your issue-- or with the handle locked in position. If none of that fixes it, try removing the shampoo container, stand over a sink, and push your finger up inside the grommet where the shampoo container mates with the Bissell. Shampoo should dribble out. If it doesn't, unscrew the grommet (holding the container upside down of course so the shampoo doesn't gush out) and use your finger and running water to try and the grommet cleaned out.

If this isn't helping, it may be that your soap pump or soap dispensing trigger switch are defective.

Kirby Vacuum Shampoo Attachment

If your trying to shampoo your carpets but the water flow is to weak and it trickles through the spout to the carpet leaving small puddles

This problem often occurs when the foam filter is not replaced after rinsing or ends up in the shampoo hose at an angle preventing foaming. If you take the small shampoo hose of the shampoo tank the filter should be on the tank, if not, it may have come off and be in the hose. If it’s not there locate it, likely in the area where you last cleaned the shampooer or in the box, and put it back on the tank. While this should be cleaned after each use, care should be taken to replace it and not lose it.

The problem may also occur if you don’t actually add the Kirby Dry Foam Shampoo to the water or if you use some thin else.

Take care to also clean and replace the air filter after rinsing. It is located under the shampoo tank where the tank fits onto the vacuum.
