Sounds like the main bearings need replacing, get an estimate, it may be time to replace your machine

Frigidaire front load washer GLTF1240AS0 - noisy and leaves dirt/oil on clothes in dotted pattern (so dirt being put on thru drum at final spin?). Could it be oil leak? bearing?

good call.....
your bearing is leaking into the machine
you can verify this by simply removing the back
if the side walls are covered in ablack spray pattern
sometimes it does not leak on both sides (in and out) but if it is leaking your machine will get progressive louder in both aggitate and spin

How do I clean the filter on a Bosch Exxcel washing machine? White washing (especially bedding) comes out of the machine with dust like particles all over it that are very difficult to remove.

is this dust or OIL, if its oil its perhapsdue to faulty drum bearing /leaking is the machine noisy on spin ? this is an indication of this...

Neptune Washer Clutch/spinner failure

Take a look thru this post and see if it the SM and Sears Parts direct link will help you. I have some pic’s of the clutch and a step by step to process to remove and replace the clutch in the FAV6800AW machine. I’m an owner like you not a repair person. I’m not sure what the repair service is calling spinner bearings. I believe they are referring to the roller clutch bearing assembly. If you are not leaking water on the clutch (Tub seal issue) I would drop the clutch out inspect and go from there. Are you throwing any error codes to the console such as “dc” or “UC” in the spin cycle of the wash cycle The repair service seems to be going in the right direction did you get a $350+ quote to repair? Does the machine spin dry the clothes to hang dry/dryer ready OK? I feel you have nothing to lose if you want to try a DIY fix and I will help as much as I can. Rich

Transmission oil is leaking into the basket of wash and staining clothing. the unit is 3 years old. repair service said to contact you for repairs since it is covered for 5 years.

sounds like the water seal in front of the drum bearings has failed causing grease from the bearings to get into the washtub this is usually accompanied by noisy spin cycle and rumbling noises from the drum when it is turning
