my lexmark x 4270 is not compatible with my windows vista so I can't install my printer and it does not want to copy nor fax nor scan

- My HP LaserJet 1012 printer is less than a year old. I've upgraded to a legal version of Vista home premium and still have the CD that came with my printer---but cannot get the laptop to find the printer.I can't stand that I have to buy a new printer just because MS and HP aren't playing nice. Any alternatives out there??- Ccall
