That printer will work in both direct thermal (no ribbon) and thermal transfer (ribbon) modes. If you are using media designed for thermal transfer printing and don't have a ribbon it won't print anything.

Ink has run out ??? it no longer prints... TSP100 How do we change the ink roller/cartridge or whatever it requires?

TSP100 Thermal Printer work with a thermosensible paper, there is no ink to change, if the print quality is poor you have to
  • check the paper roller, it can be wrong installed.
  • Check the upper cover if not closed properly close it.
  • check the print head or the pressor roller.

How do i get the ink to print darker on the thermal paper? Is there an ink cartridge or refill kit ?

no ink, no refill
thermal paper is special, when heated the "black" appears

pull some out and wave a lighter or match under it
or place it on the dash of your car in the sun for a few hours.
they do not print as black as inkjet or laser machines, but they are fast and cheap

Can you refill the black ink cartridge on the c7250? If so, how.

Thermal printer? Normally a thermal printer doesn't have cartridges.

Anyway, my opinion is you should not refill ink cartridges. I have a basement full of printers with dead print heads due to third party ink being used or third party cartridges being used in a wide assortment of printers including a HP Photosmart.

Don't run the risk to save a couple bucks, please.

Thanks for you interest in

Ink is fading on my qx50

Dymo Labellers don't use ink, they are thermal printers. When the print fades it usually means the batteries are running out.

Oki dp5000 thermal printer

Try cleaning the print head as described in the user guide. There could be old ink clinging to the head. If this doesn't take care of the problem, you could have a burnt element, which is non-fixable problem.

Clogged print head

What you can try is going onto the site and loading what is call Jet Substitution it will change the ports being used.
That could help.
Load it to your laptop and then run. Sometimes helps.
Unfortunatly that is a very expensive print head.
