SOURCE: Brewer pushing water back into reservoir

I had the same problem, contacted Keurig and they suggested the descale procedure, which did not work. I was able to resolve the problem however.
First I went through a gallon of white vinegar, without results. Then I did the following:
Went to Walmart and bought "Brew Rite". Tried 8 cup mixture (8 cups of water, two tablespoons of mix), did not work. Being persistant, put in another 8 cups, let sit 2 hours and then put in clear water. By the time I got half way through with the clear water, the device started working properly, no problems since.

SOURCE: UNIT STATED TO DE SCALE ,I USED VINEGAR AND THIS

Do you live in an area with hard water? It sounds like you have a blockage.
Unfortunately, doing a vinegar de-scale loosens up a lot of gunk, and some of that gunk might be blocking the holes through which the water from the reservoir goes into the filter basket. Think "kidney stones" (ugh).

One solution would be to do a couple more vinegar brews, to help break up this matter. Another might be to lay the coffee maker on its side on the counter & try running a toothpick or other suitable instrument (needles, etc.) into each drain hole, clearing any possible blockages. (Typically, the drain holes are in a "shower head" configuration. There may be a ring of anywhere from 8 to 20 drain holes).

This may or may not help. Do you use filtered water? I live in a hard-water part of the country, and - even using filtered water! - I still have to look at replacing my coffee maker every 3 years or so.
Best of luck :)

I can't get a full cup of coffee. I've descaled my machine and it still doesn't work properly. Any other suggestions?

If your brewer is not brewing the full amount selected, it may be caused by the following:
  • The exit needle is clogged by coffee grounds or cocoa mix. Please refer to the K-Cup Holder cleaning instructions.
  • The brewer may need to be de-scaled. Please refer to the de-scaling instructions.
  • The removable water reservoir was removed during brewing. Place the water reservoir back onto the brewer and perform a cleansing brew without a K-Cup.

Sorry to read about your issue.

try it a sec time and wait 6 or 8 hours

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck
