Question about Pacific Pharma Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic Suspension 1, 15ml Bottle

1 Answer

I am writing to inform you that the newer bottle for Prednisolone acetate 1% eye drops - with the wider opening is causing a problem for my mother-in-law. I am her caretaker and have found that for the past two months, the drops run out prior to 30 days. The opening is too large and the drops come out way too fast for her too handle. The instructions on the box are "instill 1 drop in both eyes twice daily" - For the month of March, we had to have the prescription filled four days before time was up and for April, we had it filled on 04/22/14 and she will be lucky if she gets another two or three days. Her pharmacy is Rite-Aid. She is on Medicare, with the drops running out, this will be an added expense and may not be paid by Medicare if she needs to have the drops filled before the 30 days are up and we have to fill them more than 12 times/30 days/1 month supply? Please revamp this bottle, maybe to a longer thinner type bottle with a smaller opening. If the bottle is longer and thinner, seniors would be able to hold onto the bottle better and being thinner, it wouldn't be as hard for them to squeeze. I have been watching my mother in law struggle with this tiny hard to handle bottle. And she won't let my husband or I help her, please find a way to help her be able to help herself. We are trying to have her keep her independence for as long as possible. Please reply to my email BAlwayslate@rcn.com - BUT DO NOT GIVE MY EMAIL ADDRESS OUT TO ANY MAILING LISTS!!!! Thank you for your time...we need to find an easier way to help our seniors...and revamping this bottle would be a start.

A convenient way to kill individual weeds in your lawn

I purchase full strength roundup from places that sell fertilizers etc to farmers. I mix my own roundup per their recommendations plus a little. I fill a small eye drops bottle with my mixed roundup. I like this bottle because it has a small opening so I can squeeze out a drop at a time.. I carry the bottle of mixed roundup in my pocket, with the lid shut tight of course, and as I mow and I spot a weed I take out the bottle and place on or two drops on that weed. One drop of roundup on a leaf of a plant will kill it but I try to place one or two drops right in the middle of the plant. Roundup is fed to the root of the plant from the leaf kills the weed from the roots up. This works well because I can kill the weed without killing grass or other plants around it. Wind will not effect it because the roundup is place on the plant not sprayed on it. Roundup needs about 12 hours to work so do not water right away. Ready mixed roundup from a store may work, I have not tried it because I want to be sure the mixture is strong enough to do the job. About 4 ounces per gallon of water is recommended, I increase that to about 6 ounces. Works great.

Tip

Stop spilling oil when adding.

One of the best things I've found for adding oil to my vehicles, is an empty Ketchup bottle. (squeeze type) I simply pour oil from larger jugs into the Ketchup bottles for clean and easy adding of oil to my vehicles. Saves me looking for a funnel every time, and the clear bottle allows me to see how much I've added. The bottles are usually in 1 quart, or 1 liter sizes, so that makes measuring the amount easier too. Simply write on the bottle, what grade or type of oil is in it, and it's an easy way to keep them organized as well. Want to add just a little, squeeze a little, add a lot, keep squeezing.
No more pouring it all over engine, trying to hit that hole. They last for ever, and your doing your part to recycle as well. Handy when adding oil to any vehicles, lawnmowers etc, or even when you just need a drop on a squeaky door hinge.213d910.jpg

Beam detection error in printer

A beam detection error usually means that the laser scanner that writes the information onto the drum of the printer has failed. Check all connections first, if they are ok then the laser will need to be replaced. Please note that the laser is virtually invisible and cause eye damage so do not operate the printer with the laser assembly open.

How many grams of aluminum acetate contain 2.24 x 1022 atoms of hydrogen?

1 Look up the formula for the aluminum acetate.
2 Count the number of Hydrogen atoms per molecule: Call that nH.
3 Dividing 2.24*10^22 by nH you get the number of molecules of acetate.
4. Divide that number by Avogadro's Number to obtain the number of moles required.
5. Multiply the number of moles by the molecular mass of the aluminum acetate (look it up or use the periodic table to calculate it), you will get the mass of aluminum acetate that contains 2.24*10^22 hydrogen atoms.

How can I print on acetate, tried but acetate just comes out and printer asks me to feed paper

Nothing wrong with your printer! Most printers detect paper presence with a LED. Problem is acetate
being clear the printer thinks the source tray is empty. :)

* Go down to an office supply store and buy acetate that has a 1/4" strip of opaque material on the short
edge.
* DIY. Take some permanent marker and with a ruler put a black stripe on the short edge. Let it dry. That
should let the printer sense that acetate is there.
