Check to be sure power is going to condensor unit. Maybe blown fuses or tripped circuit breaker. .

Why would evap fan running slow

If u turn the fan by hand and it turn then u need a new fan, and i think u are mixing up the fans, the fan inside the refrigerator would be the evaporator fan if that was broken then your compressor would be cold, the fan inside the compressor section would be the condenser fan, if that was defective then your compressor would be hot causing the compressor to short cycle. change the fan and clean your condenser coil and your problem should be gone,

Kenmore central air conditioning unit tripping breaker each time we turn it on.

The breaker tripping when you turn the unit on indicates a 'direct short' and 99 out of a 100 times the short will be either the outside fan motor or the compressor itself. Either way - you will need a qualified serviceperson to diagnose this problem correctly and make the needed repairs.
Best solution is to call AC person.
However, here's a good way you can get it down to either the fan motor or the compressor.
(1) With all power OFF - disconnect the wires to the fan motor
(2) turn on AC unit (a) if breaker trips it means the compressor is probably the shorted component. (b) if breaker DOES NOT trip and the compressor runs - it means the fan motor is shorted.
(3) If breaker tripped with the fan motor disconnected meaning the compressor is probably shorted you can then (with ALL POWER OFF) 'disconnect the wires going to the compressor' and re-connect the fan motor wires. Turn on power - and if fan motor runs (with compressor wires off) you know it's the compressor that is shorted.
After all this you will now know which of the two (compressor or fan motor) is shorted.
If it's the fan motor you can with 'limited mechanical experience' change the motor yourself, but if it's the compressor you will need to call a serviceperson because of the expertise needed to replace the compressor.

We turned on our 1.5 hp air con Fujita on the heat setting, the compressor would run but the fan would not work. The compressor became noisier so we turned it off. On the cool cycle the compressor ran and...

the compressor got noisier be cause the head preasure was going up putting a strain on the compressor check all your wires from the fan motor and make shure they are all hooked up and than check the capacitor for the fan it may be bad usualy it will leak fluid or be swollen when bad. but not allways if you can turn the fan by hand is prob. not bad its prob. another prob causing it not to turn

Jump air compressor ac works replace relays same issue HONDA

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

Fans inside freezer will not turn - no cooling - compressor fan underneath is turning

The fans are controlled with a clixon that has a cut in at 5 degrees, and cut out at 20 degrees. If the unit is running and the fans are not comng on then I would have to say you are out of freon. But your condensor fan could be running and the compressor NOT be running which could be a problem with your compressor. Find out if your compressor is running by taking an amp draw. If compressor IS running then you are low on freon. If the compressor is running and your evaporator coil is cold and your fans AREN'T coming on then your clixon is bad.

Slow compressor fan

You need to remove the fan and test it somewhere different. The compressor is in need of the condenser fan. Everything will overheat without that fan working. You should also test the power at that pin plug. Let me know what you find. Sea Breeze

Evaporator fan turns on. compressor and condenser fan do not turn on.

Sounds like low on refrigerant charge. Low pressure switch keeping the compressor and condenser fan from running.

Compressor starts and doesn't stop

Relay for the compressor may be stuck ( Contacts welded) both the fan and the compressor should operate at the same time. Have the relay(s) checked and possibly replaced.
