Need help removing the front cover

I'm trying to clean the vents and the the circles in the back that control where the air flows but it seems pretty touch. It would be a lot easier if i could remove the front cover so I could better clean the vents. However when Looking at a manuel it speaks of no way to do this nor can I find one online. Some different frigidaire models talk about removing the front, but the ways they described can't be done on this one. Is there a way to remove the front cover or an easy way to clean the louvers and the inside of the vents?

Freezer works fine, refrigerator not cooling model LTF2112ARB

Hello Gerard;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You have a old unit, some parts are not available. Lets try to fix this anyway.

1.) You only have one source of cooling in you unit and that is your freezer. You are not getting any cooling air. If you reach in your fresh food section, in the top back is your air vent from the freezer.
Do you feel any air flow? No.

2.) Freezer Vents - In the bottom back of your freezer are either one or two vents that go down to your fresh food section. They may be covered with Styrofoam covers that easily pull off. Feel around the covers before removing. The vents may be plugged up with frost and ice. If this is the case, use a hair dryer to break the vent covers free. Once the covers are off, put towels in the back of the fresh food section to collect water. Either use a hair dryer or warm water to clear the vent.

3.) If you have a Belt: Ok the freezer vents were not blocked. You are going to have to remove the control panel cover in your fresh food section.
There is a belt that goes from your control nob to the air damper in the back of the control cover. This belt is not longer available. The belt opens and closes the air damper. If the belt is broken you may want to take a wide piece of rubber ban and join the belt back together with a stapler. Make sure the staples are flat. Better yet, try to make a new belt out of a bicycle tube.
Remove the control panel:
1.) Unplug the refrigerator or turn power off at the breaker.
2.) There are two screws on the side front of the control panel. One screw on each side. Pull the control panel toward you, it should drop down.

4.) Ok, the belt is good. The only thing left is the control assembly. With the refrigerator unplugged, remove the control assembly. Disconnect the two wire connectors and replace.

Hi just got an audi a4 2001, 1.9tdi 130bhp, the windows keep fogging up and there doesnt seem to be air coming out of the vent for the front windscreen??? can anyone help??? the back windown is fogging up...

Windows fog up because of the humidity in the car. Run the ac and this removes the humidity from the air and the windows will not fog. If you do not have air flowing from the vents then check that the selection control is moving the vent doors . Check that the vacuum line is connected and not broken.

04 TAHOE Front A/C works great, Rear A/C blows warm. Seems like something isnt shutting the flow of hot water to the back??

Hi Jason.
Sounds like you are on the right track with the flow of hot coolant not stopping. Check your heater control valve to make sure it is stopping the flow of coolant through the rear heater core. Let me know. Hope this helps.

The dryer is not fully drying clothes

Here are a few basic trouble shooting things to try to get you started. Is this a gas or electric dryer? I will assume electric. Check to make sure the heating element is heating up. You can do this by taking off the vent hose on back, putting the dryer on a hot dry cycle and feel the air coming out. You should have a very strong flow and after just a few minutes you should have hot air. If the air flow is weak, you need to clean the vent and lint tray with a flexible brush to clear any lint and debris from the air path. If the dryer is not blowing hot air it could be a thermostat, the heating element itself or even a bad circut breaker only allowing half of the 220 volt electric to work.

If you have a strong air flow, and hot air the next step is to hook the dryer up to the vent again, go outside and find where the dryer vent exits the home. At the vent exit if you have flaps covering the exit they should blow out fully when the dryer is running, and if there is no vent cover the air flow should be just as strang as it was at the back of the unit. If it is a weak flow you will need to clean or replace the vent from the dryer to outside the home. The most common cause of slow dry or incomplete drying is restricted air flow or the heater not working. Please let me know if any of this helped or fixed the problem. If not we can look into more possible solutions.

Heater works but clothes do not dry. Very little air flow from vent

Sounds as if there is something (lint buildup maybe) that is blocking the air flow inside this machine. You need to remove the top and front of this machine so you can view in internal working parts. Clean it out the best you can and also remove the rear cover and check where the fan blade is located and this general area. I have seen rats nests built inside the tubes that will block air flow and create a fire hazard.

Dryer seem to take to long drying

Hello,

Very common problem. You need to call a
duct cleaning company and tell them to clean
your dryer vent. Rule-of-thumb: dryer vents
should be cleaned every couple of years to
prevent them from being clogged with lint and
causing lint fires. This is definitely your problem.
Good luck :)

p.s. one way to verify a clogged vent is
to go outside where the vent exits the house
and feel the air-flow. should have adequate air-flow.

No air flow through 4 top rear vents

Don't worry, it's designed that way. The owner's manual is pretty unclear about this. But the heated air only comes out the floor vents underneath the front seats and the "heat vents" at the forward and side of the rear A/C compartment near the floor. The cooled or vent air flows from the overhead vents.
