I forgot my password and now I cannot connect with
I forgot my airport network key and now I cannot connect with my new wireless netbook. How can I retrieve my password? The airport is the square one where you enter your own password, not a factory assigned password. Thank you.

If you need to recover a used wifi key, its not possible from within windows as they are all encrypted when added, you need to search for a wifi key recovery software, there are some that recover and back up keys used on the machine, so i would start there :)

If your network is being created by an Apple AirPort base station, use AirPort Utility to put the base station into "manual setup" mode, then pull down the "Base Station" menu and select "Equivalent Network Password". Try the value shown there.
Connecting your wireless computer to the wireless network:
Make sure the wireless switch is turned on in the laptop, now look for the available wireless Networks in range, select your network name, enter the security key and get connected.
You may also follow the navigation below according to your Operating System
Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections(Network connections) > Right Click Wireless Network Connection icon > Click on View Available Wireless Network
Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet (Network and Sharing Center) > On your left hand side click on Manage Network connections > Right Click on Wireless Network Connection icon > Click on Connect/disconnect
Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet (Network and Sharing Center) > On your left hand side Click on Change Adapter Settings > Right Click on Wireless Network Connection icon > Click on Connect/disconnect
Select airport icon from desktop, turn on Airport, you will be able to view the available networks in range. Select your network name enter key and get connected.
You may also click on Apple logo > System preferences > Airport > select network name
You will be able to see the Network name (SSID) which you gave in the Router, try to connect to this it will ask for password type it and click on Connect.
You will get connected wirelessly and able to go online.
from another computer, go to the routers configuration screen and make sure the status shows that it is connected to the internet. Also the routers internal LanIP address must be 192.168.1.1 for the netbook to work.
Had the same problem. What i did was in the Airport Configuration program goto "Airport" then to "Wireless" and then to "Wirelesee options" In this menu deselect "Use wide channels". Also i decreased the power of the 5.0 Ghz transmission, because i don't use it yet. But i think the "Wide channels" is the reason of the problem. It is a bit weird thoug, on my Airports Guest acount with no password and incryption, the Acer One loged on perfectly, but on my private network with WPA2 it did not. Aparantly the Guest network does not use "Wide Channels"
Hope this helps, but take care, maybe the menu's are called differendly because i had to translate them from Dutch.
ok at first you go to their device page connect the device to the pc or laptop then open the internet explorer in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 or 2.1 or 0.1 try it then asking to you user name and password just type in the user name admin and password is admin or password
go to the wireless option in that security option is there just get it
what you want exactly?password for what? username and password for internet in subscriber? or just WEP for wireless key password?
if you forgot the password for username and password for subscriber....theres an option,i dont know what kind of subscriber do you have in your country...if you forgot the username and passowrd you can ask in the subscriber.
regarding in the WEP password for wireless,it doesnt matter, try this..
type 192.168.1.1 in the internet toolbar
and you can see the configuration, check the wireless settings for WEP...
To join an AirPort network: 1. Choose Apple > System Preferences, and then click Network. 2. ClickAirPort in the network connection services list and choose a wireless network from the Network Name pop-up menu. Enter the password for the network if necessary. If the network you expected is not in the list, it may be a “closed” network and not be available in the list. Try clicking Other, and then enter the network name and password if necessary. If AirPort isn’t in the list, click Add (+) at the bottom of the list, choose AirPort from the Interface pop-up menu, give the AirPort service a name, and then click Create.
