Will not crank over to start and nothing electrical works. Just installed a new battery. What can cause this problem? It was working fine when parked 3 weeks ago.

Test the battery with a voltmeter, if good, check connection to battery. Has to have a real good ground.

No Electrical Power

You'll need to use a test light or meter to follow the power from the battery to the main fuse box. Check the ground connections also.

I have a Yamaha Raptor 700r battery powered atv, I have a new charged battery and when it is installed the battery power indicator lights doesn't light up at all. I know the battery works because I use it...

Assuming the Raptor does not start:
The main fuse and the fuse box are located under
the seat. There should be a spare fuse there also. Turn the key to
OFF and turn off all electrical circuits. Replace any blown fuses.Turn the key to ON and turn on the electrical circuits to check if the devices operates. If the fuse immediately blows again, have a Yamaha dealer check the electrical system.
I found this in the online owners manual at this site:
http://www.yamaha-motor.com/assets/service/manuals/2008/LIT-11626-21-12_Raptor700_SE_1516.pdf
Maybe the manual will help troubleshoot your problem.

I try to start my Lincoln town car and when I turn the ignition on the electrical battery system goes down but won't turn over. I have installed a new car battery

You would need to take a meter or test light and check for power after the battery. You could have a bad connection inside one of the cables.
There should be 12 volts at the battery post and at the cable end on the starter. Also be sure and check the ground connections.

Problems starting my van. new battery but one quiet click and it all goes dead

When the van was parked, was it in an area where mice or other rodents could get to it? If so, check for chewed wires near top of engine compartment and under van near starter.

I think that it requires a new retainer on the brake pedal stud.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disable the air bag system. Refer to Chassis Electrical.
  3. Use snap ring pliers to remove the pushrod retainer from the stud on the brake pedal.
  4. Unsnap the brake light switch from the pushrod.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake light switch.
To Install:
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the brake light switch.
  2. Snap the brake light switch on the pushrod.
  3. Install a new retainer on the brake pedal stud. Use a 7/16 in (11 mm) socket to push the retainer on the stud.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. Enable the air bag system. Refer to Chassis Electrical.

Battery loose power

I had a very similar problem on my daughter's VW New Beetle. The garage checked the electrical system, installed a new battery, and within days the battery was dead once again. After quite a bit of hunting and tweeking the problem was isolated to an electrical connection to the hood release latch. The electrical connection was shorting out, and the battery was being drained. I replaced the item that was connected to the hood latch, and the problem never happened again. The garage wasn't sophisticated enough to find a "small electrical drain" but the VW dealer was.
