Rear window has no power to it

you need to get a voltage tester or multitester to check the supply voltage to the rear window motor which sould be about 12 volts. To get access to the motor you need to open the facia cover of the rear door.Locate the cable going to the motor, then if you can see the connection to the motor put one end of the multitester pronge (red tip one) to the motor cable connection. Put the other multitester pronge (black tip) end to the metal part of the door. The black tester prong tip should touch a bare metal part of the door ,not a painted surface cause electricity cannot flow on painted surface, usually on a hole with screw on the hole.On the motor side you should touch the bare metal part of the motor cable connection with the red tip pronge of the tester. If the multitester registers 12 volts then you got power supply. check cable connection to the motor , and the connection of the motor body to the rear door to see if its tight enough. If it does not work then its the motor that needs to be check or replaced.

Can't get the 4 motor to housing bolts off sp 1515-z-1 esc pump motor without twisting bolt into. have broke one as of now. Trying to replace pump seal. instructs say to remove 4 motor bolts to housing and...

Thank you for posting your question here on

As a rule, when we get those pumps in for repair and the bolts are breaking you notice the motor shaft is severely corroded as well. Often times that will make the unit unrepairable as the new seal won't hold up on a damaged motor shaft. If that is your case you will want to at least consider a new motor and seal for the pump.

If you can remove the bolts with or without breaking you can precede to attempt the repair. Bear in mind you will need to get the busted tips out of the pump housing in order to install the new bolts. That is not an easy task as you are working with a small brass bushing in a thin plastic leg. The removal easily damaged the pump housing. Try to work the bolts back and forth to free the tips. You will then need to get the broken tips out. If all goes well and the shaft is not too bad you should be ok. Anything goes wrong, replace the motor and seal and you'll still save some $$$ compared to a whole new pump.

Our horizon LS760T treadmill just started making a clicking sound from the motor. It appears to be coming from the sawblade at the end. Looks like it isn't straight and could be bent slightly... would this...

Get a flashlight and what you described as a saw blade is the optical wheel. When the motor is turning their is a optical speed sensor that the wheel travels between it. Without starting the unit move the belt manually and see if the wheel is hitting the optic sensor. If it is then usually their two allen screws that hold the wheel in place loosen them and try to center then wheel or gently try to straighten the wheel teeth. Then start the unit up and if the clicking is gone you've fix it.
If the clicking is their then using a flat tip screw driver and touch the ends of the motor with the tip the place your ear on the handle and see if the clicking is coming from either end of the motor, if the clicking is located on either end of the motor could be worn motor brushes replace motor brushes or failure of the bearings replace the motor. If motor is good then proceed to the front roller place the tip on the stationary shaft and listen to each end of the roller if the clicking their replace the front roller.

Want to replace motor brushes...any tips on this

I need to also, so please post what you learn. I found several examples for other WMs on YouTube (search brushes carbon washing machine) Note, I was able to get my Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 spin working again with the following quick carbon dust cleaning trick:
1) Unplug WM and tip up to a 45 degree angle and then safely stabilize so you can safely access motor from bottom. No need to take off back or disconnect motor.
2) Using a small tool like a 1/4 allen wrench or medium screwdriver start tapping repeatedly (for 2 mins) on the brush holders, and back metal clips that connect to the brushes, your just moving the dust around really.
3) Next using an alcohol damp cloth clean the motor commutator - on this motor it is easily exposed on one of the sides 90 degrees away from, and in line with brush holders. Hold cloth on commutator and turn motor, this will also make it clear if commutator is damaged. You cloth should be pretty dirt after 2-3 rotations.
Repeat 2 and 3 above a few more times cleaning up all the carbon dust off the commutator and around the brushes.
After that tip down and test again. A more thorough cleaning could be done by removing brushes and cleaning em - but this will buy you a few weeks/months of operation.
