All of a sudden my Insignia TV sounds tinny with an echo. I have a soundbar, and it doesn't change whether I have it on or off? I've re-set the audio to the factory settings, and it did not help. Any ideas on how to fix this bothersome issue would be appreciated.

SOURCE: HP Pavilion dv5000 PC Notebook

i have hp dv5000 as well. and i had the same problem.
what helped me is that:
you go to start - control panel - administrative tools -
then take: device manager.
in the device manager window you click on the plus near:
IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
right click on: primery IDE channel
and select uinstall.
at that moment you will probably feel that the computer is back to its speed. restart anyway.
it will tell you new hardwear found, click: ok to everything it will install the primery IDE chenell again.
well that worked for me...

SOURCE: Echo when connecting Samsung Plasma to Onkyo TX-SR602

Make sure you have the tv volume turned right down as this will cause an echo, also set amp to prologic 2, and set up xover to suit your speakers or go for the THX standard of 80 hrtz and as a rule of thumb set front L,C,R speakers to zero rears to about +4or5 and your sub to -5[ dont know which speakers you have but try setting the subs on board volume to the 10,o,cloak position],also make sure the speakers -,+ are wired the same at the amp and speakers.

Hope this helps.

How do I connect my Echo Dot to my JBL 5.1 soundbar

Echo Dots can also be connected to your soundbar through an AUX (3.5mm) cable. This is because Dots are equipped with an AUX output port, and most soundbars have an AUX input. This is an easy, wired connection that is possible with a soundbar, as long as your soundbar and Dot are near one another (or you have a long AUX cable).
Here’s how to make your wired connection through an AUX cable:
Get a 3.5mm AUX cord. Make sure it is a good length
Open up your Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone
Select ‘Devices’ from the Main Menu Settings
Select your Dot by its name
Select ‘AUX Audio’, then ‘Line In or Line Out’
Connect your AUX cord to your Echo and your soundbar
Now you are connected through your AUX (3.5mm) cord, and any streaming or listening on your Echo Dot will come through your soundbar as long as both are powered on. If you ever want to listen to your Echo Dot through another device, simply disconnect the AUX cable from your soundbar.

Hello, I just bought a small insignia sound bar to boost the sound of my TV. I do have it working, but at the cost of this annoying/loud buzzing/feedback sound ? I am at a loss of how to get rid of ?

Hello Jon, as the first suggestion, replace the cable that goes from the audio output of your TV, to the audio input of your Insignia soundbar
On the other hand says that TV you have, indicates brand and model, indicates the model of the Sound Bar Insignia
Also tell me through which connection the TV is connected to the Insignia soundbar
With this data I will be able to look for a better possible solution to the problem
I await your comment
Greetings Franco Dosil

I am trying to hook up an ilive soundbar that has only aux to an insignia tv, and I don't see aux on the tv. Is there any way to hook the soundbar up? Thanks.

Look for an audio output jack on the TV. You may have to adapt the cable from the soundbar to the jack type on the TV.

I have a 42 inch insignia TV that I’ve had on fullscreen all the sudden it has changed to a much smaller screen and don’t know how to fix it to get back to full screen

Have you tried looking at you Picture settings on your TV to see if you have possibly changed the aspect ratio.

There also may be a button on your remote to change it on the fly, possibly saying
"aspect".

It changes really easily when you accidentally lean on the remote. I do it all the time.

My new Vizion tv has a vizion sound bar, the sound comes out with an echo, how do I correct?

Your TV speakers should be turned all the way down or off when you use a separate sound system such as a soundbar. Using them with the soundbar may cause echoes and the TV speakers do nothing to improve the sound.

Look at your TV's audio menu. If you can, turn the TV speakers off completely at the menu. Also see if you can set the analog audio output to "variable." This will allow you to control the soundbar's volume with the TV remote.

Why does the soundbar play with Roku but no sound comes from the bar when on regular t.v.

You have to go into the audio set up screen on the TV and direct TV sound to the output cable connector you used for the sound bar. Example: Optical, digital.

Change input device to some other which you know works for sure. If problem persists, try changing the channel. If you notice same problem, this may need attention by a qualified service technician.
