Convergence problem with samsung sp42w5hfx

Hi i have a samsung sp42w5hfx rear projection, i have changed both ic's and one pico fuse, in service menu i can only move green red and blue will not converge.....can anyone help me on this matter...any thanks

I have same prob too is this a common fault ? Changed both convergence chips STK392-040 - Now only green and red will move - Blue will move up and down but not left and right also one of the STK's is getting very hot any ideas ???

You will need to replace both convergence Ics and the pico fuses that blow when the Ics fail. You can get the replacement Ics and pico fuses from they also provide free tech support to help you install them

Convergance color off set on screen

very common problem the 2 convergence ICs and the pico fuses will need to be changed. The Sony type 1 convergence repair kit from is the correct kit for your model and contains the two ICs and the 8 pico fuses plus the CD with repair instructions.

You will need to replace the two convergence ICs and then check and possibly replace the pico fuses on the D board and G board. The Sony number one convergence repair kit available from is the correct kit for your model. The kit contains both ICs and the 8 pico fuses plus the CD with detailed repair instructions.

Replace Both of your convergence ICs they are mounted on front bottom bord to left hand side will have STK on them STK392-150s Also CK pico fuses in front of ics they look like resistors but will be yellow or green pico fuses 5amps/6amps Call Mats for ICs 1-800-628-1118 And you Have to know How to Enter Service Menu for alinement to Convergence. PRESS( display/ ch /5 / vol- do this in order then you shold be in the service menu!

Convergence problem philips rear projection tv.

All convergence circuits require two voltages which are equal, one being positive the other negative. Check the power supply for these two voltages and then see if you're getting them at the output ICs. I suspect one of them is missing or low. If there are no cooked resistors near the ICs, inspect the fuses that protect those two voltage sources or the regulating devices themselves.

You may still one more resistor opened , samsung most of the time its 2 low ohms but can be 3 it will be same value as other 2. I think they are 2.7ohms or 3.9 How to Enter Service Menu for convergence Turn TV off Press Mute 1-8-2-power now you should be in convergence use vol- and vol+ to select an item Use mute and menu to adjust when done Press ADD to save adjustments made.

Samsung pcl5415rb convergence problems

If you bought a kit from sites such as go back and ask for help. If you bought the parts over the internet without instructions you have two common problems...1) Bad/Fake chips... or 2) You did the repair wrong - because you lack proper instrucitons.

Pico fuses - yes - they can be one of many secondary reasons convergence is not fixed on Samsung models.

Sony projection tv convergence issue

You will need two STK392-560 Convergence ICs and you will also need two of the 3.5 amp pico fuses as Sonys will always blow at least two of the Pico fuses. You can get replacement ICs and Pico fuses at the fiollowing link and they provide free instalation instructions. Heres the link.

Compare IC connections with meter = check solder joints to
see if some are touching one another. Tell me exactly what
brand & part number was installed...........T.
PS. The red,green,blue plugs may be mixed up because the green should stay and red & blue move !
