Sounds like a firmware corruption. It might have to be updated. Contact the authorized service centre for Sharp. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

The Samsung LN40B540P8F I would rate a 9. Only God is 10.

All the DLP sets, you can throw out

All the Older Projection sets you can throw out

I would take the rest for scrap parts.

I hope this is helpful.

Do an ALL RESET. The only way i know of to do it is to hold the ON and Reset at the same time. Then select yes at the promt. Then wait 2 mins and take out batteries. Reinsert and turn on. it will re-format. This is the only way i know of how to ressurect it, but it deletes ALL you data.
Thanks

LC-32d40U Sharp Aquos Screen shows "please wait" controls do not respond

Hi.

Im not familiar with your TV set as it is made for USA but here in the UK some sharp models suffer with similar problem & this is the remedy.
As I said I cant gtee it will sort your problem but give it A try.
  1. Unplug the AC power cord of TV set to force power off.
  2. While holding down the “VOL (–)” and “INPUT” keys on the set at once, plug in the AC power cord to turn on the set. This should hopefully clear the problem.

Sharp aquos lc26sh12u no menu screen appears

as you have a good screen, I would check ebay for the display controllers as there are so many available after shipment drops and kids with hard toys.
what you have been troubleshooting so far is analog , now its likely a digital issue , all you can look for is the the cpu is running,
is it getting the 5v + and the say 20 or so volts.

LC32SH20U Please wait screen

I have had many problems with these unit with internal cables being loose or not seated properly. This is most likely the case, or the unit has a bad main. BD. If is new you can probably exchange the unit where you bought it, or contact Sharp and they will set you up with an auth. service center to correct the problem.
