Re: usb

Hit delete when booting and go into bios setup and enable the USB ports and also the plug and play settings.

You should just buy a cheap USB keyboard and use that instead. That motherboard model might have been plagued by a bad batch of ps/2 keyboard connectors.

Good Luck!

Boots to a blue screen but does not recognise the keyboard you have the option for esc f1 or f10 but unable to do anything since you can not use the keyboard. I have tried a usb and ps2 keyboards

As per your description, if I am not wrong, your bios screen comes ok but the blue screen comes when the actual Operating System loads.

This shouldn't happen with a PS2 (the green round pin - to be fitted in green socket only) keyboard. If it does, then you have problem with the motherboard.

But, if you have a USB keyboard, try putting the keyboard in bottom part of USB(Port 12 - as shown in the picture), next to VGA connector.

You may also need to enable USB Keyboard Support from the BIOS - which can be done by pressing "Del" key at the startup. - and save it by pressing F10 - and exiting BIOS.

Most Asus motherboards by default have the USB ports enabled in the bios.
Buy the item, Y adapter below to bypass the PS/2 keyboard port on the motherboard;
You should be able to enter the bios using a USB port. Or buy a single PS/2 to USB;

Usb keyboard no longer recognised during boot process

Restore your PC before the BIOS update. BIOS updates are not required until & unless you face problems while running a software and it will prompt you for BIOS update. Do this update if its vital othewise do not intergere in the BIOS. I faced the same problem and after unistalling all drivers and again reload the original driver from MB VD slved it. Another thing in BIOS is USB setting at high-spped & full-speed. Try changing those settings and retry. Mine worked!...sodeep

Please i need your help

hello, open the case unplug the comuter, take out the litium battery,looks like a coin, near that a three pin header, with a jumper on move it to the other 2 pins..count to twenty-put it back the way it was-put the battery back in-plug it in-and you should be able to change the boot order. you may have to set other bios options. this is the way to reset the passwords, this resets it to default. hope this helps! goodluck!

My pc does not recognise my ethernet or moem or my wireless usb stick provider

First of all what computer do you have???
That is bases for all the questions. You need to download all of the drivers (audio, video, Network card driver, chipset, and others). From the computer vendor (manufacturer).
For you get all that, you need a working computer, access the Internet and download all the drives and put it on a CD, installed on the computer you are working on. (Hopefully the CD reader is working).
Just reinstalling the operating system is only get you a clean hard drive new operating system and application not the motherboard setup and drivers you need to have the computer function as a computer.
In order for your modem communicate with the ISP , the network card must be configured to accept automatic IPS configuration. To do that, after you have the network card working (offline). Turn on the modem and connected the modem to the computer. The computer will automatically get the IP address from the IPS. you should be on line. Till then, good luck, and good fishing.

Motherboard or Computer

have you used the auto hardrive detect in the bios, because it will still look for the previous drive, or highlight it in the standard cmos settings and enter it manually.

If you are swapping a hard drive from anothe pc with windows installed it will not boot as it won't recognise hardware, it has to be a clean drive.

2 back usb port not working

It may be the operating system has not recognised all the ports, if you opertaing system is now ok, go to My computer>properties>hardware>device manager, and look to bottom of the list to USB Controllers. right click on them,and Uninstall all controllers and restart pc and see if all the ports are recognised and installed automatically. Go back to the controllers after restart and ensure there are no'!' marks or no 'X' against any controllers.
