You can find FHS bulbs online (Amazon, Ebay or Bulbman are great places to start). If you have a "Batteries+ Bulbs" store in your area, they usually have them in stock. Good Luck !!

SOURCE: How do you replace the bulb on a Kodak Carousel 600?

This post is a few months old but in case this come sup again: Assuming you have a 4000 series projector, withdraw the lamp housing after unplugging the projector. THe kind of clasp will vary a bit but it's more or less in the centre of the lamp housing which is located at the rear, right of the projector. The housing will stop just before you pull it out entirely. If you must, pull it gently but firmly some more, but it's not theoretically required. If you pull it all the way out you'll need to be careful re-inserting it so check out how it slides in and out before removing the whole lamp module.

Over the top of the lamp you will see a metal , bent "spring" that pushes down on the rear of the bulb. The spring terminates over and beside the bulb, hooked into the lamp housing. Press down on it a bit and outward to unhook it. Now don't yank it up but gently and firmly pull it so that the back of the lamp rises with it. You may not see it at this point but there is a corresponding bit of metal spring under the bulb, pushing up on the back of the bulb (where the electrical contacts are). In theory this will bring the bulb up enough to clear the socket and you should see the two electrical contacts (prongs) of the bulb. In practice, sometimes the bulbs stick inside the socket. Replacements sockets are hard to get and can be expensive so if it sticks, easy off a bit on the upward pressure, gently press down a bit on the (cooled) bulb a the back, and try it again.

You may or may not need to put a small finger under the bulb to ease it out of the holder. These weren't the easiest to operate lamp holders!

When inserting a new bulb, just reverse the above, You may want to gently press (too hard may crack the socket!) on the back of the new bulb as it goes into the socket. You want that bulb in there firmly so it doesn't arc electricity, which will corrode the lamp sockets and the bulb's prongs. Be careful to keep the lamp as even (level) as possible when reinserting it so the bulb doesn't crack. On the off chance it does, most times it will still operate satisfactorily as long as the prongs are firlmy in the socket.

SOURCE: Projector light does not shine. (Power is on, bulb

I will assume from your description that the projector is powered on and you can look in the rear vents and see the lamp illuminated, yet the light does not shine on the screen.
The Ektapro 9020 and most of the Ektagraphic line of projectors are equipped with a "dark shutter". What that does is keep the screen dark unless a slide drops into the gate. At that time the sensing circuits trigger and open the shutter, allowing light through the slide & onto the screen.

SOURCE: Kodak 410 Projector/Viewer - no lite through projector or viewer

These projectors were designed & made by Telex for Kodak.
If the screen stays black when you push a slide down into the "gate" (in either viewer or projector mode), then the trip mechanism that opens the shutters when a slide is detected has a problem. It could be an adjustment, a broken or out of position spring or hardened lubrication.
There is no good way to proceed unless you are trained in the service of these projectors. Contact a factory-trained repair dealer. Happy New Year!

SOURCE: Light won't come on, replaced old light bulb.

First, check to see if the lamp lights at all (spill light coming out of the projector near the fan). If it does, then the problem could be just the "dark shutter" not opening. If the lamp does not light, it could be a couple of things: it could be the lamp thermal fuse has opened or it could be a bad lamp socket.
Sounds like you need to seek out a factory-trained repair dealer for this one, to narrow down the possibilities!

Supplied with 82V, 300W EXR lamp Projection Lamps Quartz-halogen 82 V projection lamps- Here is service manual link http://resources.kodak.com/support/pdf/en/manuals/slideProj/manual/ektagraphic_sm.pdf Several different Models all say EXR 300W As CORRECT Bulb : EXR, 300 W (35-hour lamp life at full lamp/medium-brightness) Sampling of other lamps: EXY (200 hours/less brightness) EXW (15 hours/maximum brightness) FHS (70 hours/medium brightness) Use combinations of lamp brightness, plus half- and full-lamp settings to approximate image brightness in multi-projector presentations. Lamp Tips • Projector operation on line voltages above 125 volts greatly reduces the lamp life. • Unplug the projector before changing the lamp. • Allow for unrestricted flow of air to the exhaust vent to prolong lamp life. • Gently wipe off any fingerprints with a soft cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol.

Chances are that if the cooling fan is running, then you burned out the lamp. Contact Bulbman.com or Bulbs.com for a quote on the lamp. If your projector is a Carousel 4400, then you will need to replace the lamp with an ANSI Code "FHS" lamp. If that's all that is wrong with the projector the lamp will cost you about $40 (best guess).

This link tells you the lamp type you can use. EXY, EXR or FHS. http://www.bulb-source.com has the FHS for around $10.00. Seems like a good price for the lamp. Other suppliers range from $8 to $25.
