How old is the A/C? Alot of make units like yours become extinct so vastly that it's next to impossible to acquire replacement parts for them.

I need a master control knob. I don't know the model number of the Emerson Quiet Kool air conditioner.

Without the Model Number, it's hard to know what knob fits your model. However, the link below, may provide some help. But, having the Model Number would be a bulls eye. Remove the front of the AC unit. There may be a manufacturer's data plate inside, which would provide the model number.

Check if there is any sensor between the cover and the main unit. Maybe that has dust collected due to which the message is still displayed.

I have an emerson thru the wall ac unit

have you undone the screws on the sides of it? If you have then on the inside of the box...there are "hooks" that hold the unit in. You may have to access them from outside. Good luck. By the way the screws on the sides are usually 5/16..

depends on the unit. you will probably have to slide it out of its case and clean the outside part . there should be a hose that goes from the inside to the outside for the water to go out. this hose may be clogged, trapping the water inside. as i always say a picture of the unit always helps so i can identify it and tell you what to do to try and fix the problem. email the pics to [email protected]

Installation

Kyanne: Follow this steps to do your installation: 1. Locate your installation place (Living, dinning, family room, etc.) 2. Check power outlet source to be close to the unit. 3. Make sure that behind the wall you're going to make the hole there's no plimbing or electrical connections. 4. Make the hole on the wall as precise as the dimensions of the extrior frame of your AC. 5. Insert unit in place and secure it with brackets. 6. If hole is bigger than expected, there's always some harmonic plastic covers for the sides. If the gap is in lower and upper part use some duct tape and paint it with similar color of wall to cover imperfections. 7. Connect AC to power outlet. This is something in general, ok? But if you intend to do it anyway, please use protective equipment for your own safety like gloves, safety glasess, etc. SithPitt

Emerson no longer supports that air conditioner. But I'm afraid that even if they did - plastic trim is not an available part. Only the Mechanical workings would be available.
There is no hope for replacement but to find a non-working one, and strip it of its pieces you need.

BTW - Emerson Quiet Kool was closed in 1993 - Purchased by Fedders.
Fedders would retain the rights to all parts, patents etc.
Fedders still sells A/C units under the EQK Label.
Fedders customer Service may be able to help you... however it will probably only be an owners manual they can provide.
AND - your unit UEE5458-BA is distributed by Montgomery Wards.

Again - your most likely chance of getting the part is off a used (non-working) machine.
