Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
My AV port is broken which i know for a fact. no matter what i try to do to the wire i cant get it to work. i can somewhat see the game but it is black and white with grey stripes flowing up the screen. im really not sure what to do, is there a way to replace the AV port? or do i just have to get a new one? and, does GameStop buy broken ps2's?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: playstation 2 wont read games
I used to have a ps2 and experienced this exact problem. In my case the lense was dirty, I opened my ps2 and VERY carefuly wiped my lens with methelated spirit (becareful, some methelated spirits that contain oils ment to prevent their consumption, these must be avoided!)then blew out the whole system with a hair dryer. Reassembled it and VWALA! it worked like it was bran new or even better!

soo there are other ways to fix this, but its hard to find the parts and depending on your soldering skills may not help. fix one is replacing the av connector on the mother board. thisis not fun as its a very delicate un solder and re solder job. fix 2 just replace the wholemother board, easier but still hard to get parts for. hope this helps
