First you need to download Java from ---- http://www.java.com/en/ for vista. Now you need to install that’s it this will complete the java installation in vista.

Once Java is installed, you can enable or disable it by following these steps to enable or disable Java in Internet Explorer.
Open Internet Explorer -- Click the Tools button---- and then click Internet Options.

Click the Advanced tab.If Java is installed, there will be a Java section in the Settings list. To enable Java, select the option under Java. To disable Java, clear the option under Java. When you are finished, click OK.
This would probably solve your issue.

try using java enable features in some other browsers.like may be firefox.see if u can access and use them there.if java isnt showin in other browsers too, then there has to be some issue with the installation.

if ur vista home premium is a 64 bit edition, then there is still no x64 version that will enable Java in IE 64-bit.Java can be used in Vista x64 but with the default browser, which is
    IE 32-bit.
The file you need is "jre-6u1-windows-i586-p.exe"
That is 32-bit Java, fully functional in Vista x64 with IE 32-bit.

The 64-bit Java (the one labelled AMD64 or something like that) will install
in Vista x64 but gives you no browser (i.e., IE 64-bit) support.
Here you will find supported system configurations.

you can refer this forum for more :- http://forums.techarena.in/windows-x64-e...

    hope this helps

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Enable ICS on a windows Vista Home Premium

- Configuration on the machine that is connected to the internet.Firstly make sure that firewall on the machine is configured to allow ICMP and access to HTTP / HTTPS. Also make sure that the port 80 is opened on the firewall
To enable ICS perform the below steps - Identify the Dial-up connection that has to be shared - Right Click on the Dialup connection and go to properties, in the sharing tab enable ICS and choose the connection through which you would share the internet to your network.
- Configuration on the Client Machines
Connect the other computer to this one
You should be good to go now.
* I am assuming that you are not using a router or a hub, it is a direct connection.

I cannot install java on windows vista home premium why???

There are several problems with Vista. You might have to find a previous version of Java that will work for Vista. Two solutions: 1.) find previous version of Java on Filehippo.com; or 2.) Upgrade to Windows 7 (recommended). Windows Vista is the predecessor to 7. 7 is far more stable and will find almost everything you need on its own.

Go to C:\Program Files\Java, if there is more than one folder version listed
then use the Control Panel's ADD/Remove Programs option to remove the older
versions and then delete any leftover files and folders that may still exist
