Question about Konica Minolta Bizhub C353 Copier

How do you copy bank checks with foil security seals?

We used to be able to do this but now when we do, the whole page comes out black. We have called maintenance and they have been out twice without results. In fact they say we were never able to do it, but we have copies of checks with the seal on it from before. Any suggestions/helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: Double-sided copy output

In print dialogue box there will be a setting for long or short edge binding, associated with duplex printing. Find it and try it. Good Luck.

SOURCE: when I use the copier the copy has dirty spots.

there may be glass in inner side. swipe it by soft cloth orcottan. then u r problem solve . we face same problem in brother copier. (nepal)

check all your plugs... and connections.... broken plugs or connectors can cause issues... clean the copier... clean the optics... with a clean cloth... then make a copy... if not good... then make an internal a status report... if good... then the problem is in your optics... clean optics... blow stuff out with an air can... clean mirrors... if bad then check your drum and fuser... check for problems... try matching marks... then clean your ccd... generally this is a very thin piece of plastic that acts like a laser... sometimes it gets dirty... if still unable to fix... at this point I would call a service technician

Black spots on each page

A laser printer has its rollers (which I believe you said you cleaned...very important) and the cartridge you put in the printer has rollers too! Carefully check them and the wiper on the cartridge. If all of those things are clean, then you should get clean copy!

"dk" means the the life black drum is over. You need to replaced the drum and blade. Or you can replaced the whole drum cartridge. The line that you are getting from one of the blades, more likely from the black drum. Pull out all the drum check if there is toner on the drums.

White line and very, very dirty copies

the nealy black copies sounds like the drum is going, try adjusting the exposure to light, if it comes out with the whole page the same way but just lighter than change drum. White line sounds like there is something on the coronas.

Once try to make a scan and if we are getting line even while scanning. Then perform the steps given in the below webpage.
Directly go to step three and then try to make a copy.

If the issue still persists then power cycle the all-in-one.

  1. Turn the product off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  3. Wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord to the product.
  4. Turn the product on.
  5. Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
Now try to make a copy and check for the result. If the issue still persists then reset the all-in-one.

  1. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.
  3. Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.

If you just changed the toner cartridge, you probably forgot to remove the metal foil seal, from the side of the new toner cartridge.

Copying and scanning problem

The tech support at HP said its a hardware issue, especially if the following test results in a black page:

1) Open cover
2) Push scan button

if the bulb doesn't come on or the page is still black its a hardware issue.
