Quincy has a couple different models with 240 in the model number. I have linked to the user manuals of both. I hope you will find an answer in there!

Compressor shuts down and will not allow enough pressure run machine

Sounds like the oil is low or the cooler is dirty. If that's not the case then you have a defective thermal valve.

My oil temp has gone from the ave of 140 to 152 in about a week. everthing else is normal

check oil level in unit as over full will over heat oil. It is possible that there is a failing bearing or bush. Check outlet pipes for blockages from carbon build up from un burnt sump oil.

You have one or more valves broken in the head and need to be replaced, and Quincy compressors require a special tool to remove and install valves.

Compressor has no oil pressure but seems to be running good

If you're sure its not just a bad oil pressure gauge, and there is no pressure, the oil pump is probably bad. If you don't run it hard, it may still last awhile, running more like a "splash lube" compressor. Still, if this is a pressure lubed Quincy, it's a good compressor - I'd fix the oil pump and it'll last for years.

Kicking overloads but not consistantly

First: Most all compessors use check valves at the tank and an unloader to allow the compressor to start without a load. Make sure that system is unloading and that check valve is not leaking causing head pressure at start. Second: Too frequent starts and stops will cause motor to overheat. Check Quincy manual for max starts per hour. enjoy
