Set the screen format using your TV's menu. Do not set the format of the screen using your provider's receiver. I had this prob with a few channels with a dish provider when I set the format with the remote from the dish provider. I picked up the TV's remote, went into the menu, set the format, problem fixed.

I had that problem on my Vizio 37" and my new Vizio 55" and now after reading the solution of adjusting the HV position in the setup menu, the problem is fixed! Thank you!!

To replace the CCFL lamps, you have to disassemble the LCD module. It is a very skilled work, as CCFL lamms are very brittle. and should be handled carefully. It will be best to get this set repaired by any expereinced service technician.
