Question about GE WSM2780W Stacked Washer / Dryer
The dryer works fine, but the washer has stopped working. It runs through the spin cycle, then it stops without draining the water. I've made sure that the lid is closed during the entire process and after spinning, the process just stops. When it stopped originally, I pulled out the load of clothes and fished around the agitator, but I didn't feel anything Should I look at the filter? If so, can you explain where it is and how to get to it? What other things should I consider? Thank you for your help.
Katary, first it sounds like it is a bad drain pump. to access drain pump you need to remove the front panel, to remove the front panel there are 2 screws at the very bottom of the front panel near each corner. Once removed the bottom pulls out and the panel will lift up 90 degrees before being able to be removed from the top "hinge" point. Once removed you will see 2 large rubber hoses, 1 short and 1 long, in between the two is your electric drain pump. It should be on and "humming" during the spin cycle. appliancepartspros.com have that pump for $106.00

SOURCE: GE Washer won't drain or spin
this is something that you can fix even if your not a technical person . first you have to open the washing machine front panel or back panel , second , follow the DRAIN HOSE to where its connected to a little motor, disconnect the DRAIN HOSE , take the LITTLE MOTOR out and clean it out , it could be clogged.
it happen once and find out the person put the BATH RUG SET
to wash , the rug was so old that pieces of a rubber underneath the rugs clogged the drain , so there was no rinse and no spin.
try it , I hope it helps.

SOURCE: Washer will not spin
I fixed it yesterday. After checking the continuity of my lid switch and pressure switch and finding them ok I removed the tubing from the pressure switch and applied air (blew into it). There was a clog and blowing on it removed it for now. Apparently the pressure switch was telling the machine that the tub was full of water and wouldn't let it start the spin cycle. I ran three loads last night and it worked perfect. I may have to remove the connection on the side of the tub and clean it properly if it clogs again.
