Tranny bands loose need adjustment have inspected
Ac locking up on you five minutes remove belt spin ac belt pulley by hand if resistance buy bypass belt and make sure to get right size this is criticle
Have ac inspected if you want to keep ac
Water pump going out turn by hand it free moves any resistance replace
Power steering pump resisting
Alternator loosing power put a volt meter on battery above twelve good below twelve bad
Emergency break on and hasnt disengaged this is usually the forgot process of one driveing easy remedy if like old s10 loosen the emergency cable under nieth temporary take to break inspection place to have fixed or binding breaks with hardware possible failing

On throttle body your
Throttle body gummed up by deposits so not pushing fuel threw
The accelerator pedal needs adjustment some vehicles come with automatic sliding gas pedal this is in vehicle manual
Last but not least fuel pump and or filter is failing or needs replacement
The above except tranny can be looked at and assessed diy
Some of above mentioned are easy to do the emergency break cable under nieth should be loose when EB is disengaged

Accelerator pedal position sensors


I have a 2006 Honda Accord and I put it on the dealers diagnostic system and it gave the following reading: Acclerator pedal position interrelationship. Does this mean that the throttle body cencor and the accelerator pedal position cencor needs to be syncronized to find each other? Please help

    • Be aware that the resistance is often the part that requires repair. Resistance is managed magnetically, so often if the machine is working, but the resistance isn't setting correctly or at all, check the bolts that secure the magnets. If they are loose, the resistance will slip. If the bolts are fine, check the magnets themselves by using a refrigerator magnet and see if it is attracted or repelled by the your fridge magnet. If not, the magnets have de-magnetized and need to be replaced.
    • Consider that if the foot pedals are attached with bolts, any slipping can be fixed with a quick use of the wrench. But if the foot pedals are damaged or breaking, order new foot pedals (see Resources below) rather than run the risk of a pedal breaking while you're on the machine.

Sir i have a Kia Avella (Ford Aspire)i believe it is called in america...the problem is its RPM revolutionaze by its own even though im not stepping on the gas...and its very difficult to run especially...


If your car has a throttle cable, check the return spring on the throttle body to ensure the throttle closes by the spring. If your throttle is controlled electronically, the problem may be with the accelerator pedal position sensor. That sensor is usually attached to the pedal and should produce a resistance between the ground ans signal pins that changes linearly as the sensor input is rotated. You can test it with an ohmmeter. If the engine light is on, the problem may also be in the throttle controller on the throttle body. You can verify thay conditio by extracting the trouble codes from the computer by using a scanner.

My Pro-Form 490 LE has a resistance problem--it won't adjust and it seems to be set on a difficult resistance, I can't really pedal it. how do I fix this? I tried switching the levels, but it doesn't...


Open the rear part where the "guts" are. The magnet will be stuck against the wheel that turns when you pedal because the cable that the resistance motor pulls to remove the tension will have too much slack in it. The cable probably came off of the pulley wheel that is used to providing the necessary tension to pull the magnet off of the wheel.

To get the case off, simply unhook the right side pedal, remove the 4 bolts holding on the crank thing to remove it, then using a philips head screwdriver, remove the screws in the screw holes on the case cover. Be sure to remove the one screw on the other side near the front in order to allow the front part to "unsnap".

We just received our bike and it is very difficult to pedal. There also isn't a change when we change from level 1 to 16. Is there something we can do to fix it?


If the upper console time, speed, and calories then usually the lower board or a mechanical hang up may cause these problems. To eliminate the mechanical remove the upper console and disconnect the terminal cable now start pedaling if their is no resistance and pedaling has become easy it could be the lower board if not and the resistance stay the same then the mechanical resistance is stuck. You will need to call the manufacturer if their is not a local servicer for this product.

Hey roger,
I have buyed me a E430 but i have problem with it. does the bike work without the heart rate counter? I don't have it and the resistance is always changing in every program. So i like to know my bike is ok or not

Pinpoint Test R: Diagnostic Trouble Code 44 — RH Radiator Primary Crash Front Air Bag Sensor Not Mounted to Vehicle Properly Normal Operation
NOTE: Circuit 618 (BL/W) is grounded to the side of the RH radiator primary crash front air bag sensor case, and the case is grounded through the bracket to the vehicle at its mounting point.
The air bag diagnostic monitor (14B056) measures the resistance between pin 20 (circuit 618 [BL/W]) and pin 3 (circuit 57M [BK]), the air bag diagnostic monitor reference ground. If the air bag diagnostic monitor measures a difference of more than 2.0 ohms between pin 20 and pin 3, it will flash diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 44.
Possible Causes
High resistance on pin 20 (circuit 618 [BL/W]) to ground can be caused by:
  • A poor connection due to loose mounting, dirt, or corrosion at the RH radiator primary crash front air bag sensor bracket mounting location.
  • An open or damaged wire in circuit 618 (BL/W) from pin 20 of the air bag diagnostic monitor connector to the RH radiator primary crash front air bag sensor connector.
  • An open circuit inside the RH radiator primary crash front air bag sensor.

No pedal resistance & no rear breaks


There is a leak somewhere in the brake line...you are going to have to do a hand-over-hand trace of the brake line from the pedal (master cylinder) back to the caliper, find the leak, and replace the broken parts.
