yes, what they said is right and will cost upto $30 and can only be fixed by them.The problem is not wid ur battery it is wid some other parts also inside it..
Since they are professional technicians for casio they charge that much.i suggest u to go for it..

mcdevito75 here, Most likely 2 batteries. 1 for the illuminator on top once you remove the cover and 1 for the time mechanism.
