Embroidery stitches to far apart

1. To make changes on a computer there is a method to increase or decrease the size of the embroidery (usually two buttons pushed simultaneously). This will resize the embroidery and compute a new number of stitches. If you have resized it in the past without utilizing this feature the number of stitches will be wrong and will make an embroidery that has problems.
2. The embroidery program that you are using may have a problem. This can be checked by trying other embroidery programs.

I cannot get the green decorative stitches to work. I'm insure if my Bernina 930 is broken or I'm just unfamiliar with this machine. How do I set my machine for the embroidery stitches?

There are 2 levers on the top that need to be set. One shows the green stitch selections. That needs to be set to your stitch choice. To its right, there is another lever called the "changeover lever." It needs to be pushed all the toward the back of the machine--that switches it from straight stitch to decorative stitch.

Then on the bottom front on the right is a large knob. Both the outer ring of the knob and the inner knob perform different functions. One drops the feed dogs for darning or raises to activate the feed dogs to pull the fabric through the machine. The other part switches between the red and green stitch selections. When that knob is turned the light should show green or red to coordinate with the stitch selection lever on the top of the machine.

So to make decorative stitches, there are 2 levers that need to be moved plus the red/green activator knob. In addition, you will want to adjust the stitch width dial and the stitch length lever to widen or lengthen the stitch.

There doesn't seem to be a stitch long enough on machine for basteing so I can gather material?

Try loosening both top and bottom tension. while longer stitches are easier, it can be done on shorter stitches as well. A bennifit to shorter stitches is the gathers will be smaller and easier to work with! Remember to reset the bobbin tension before sewing again.

The LED light won't show up

Check your bobbin winder spindle. It may be engaged. (pushed to the right). Push it to the left, if it's pushed to the right and the LED will go on.

Pfaff 7550 display gone out

Hi there,

I have a Pfaff Expresion 2026 which started doing strange things.

First the display went out, and it showed the error message "WD". Then it would sew briefly with a different stitch length and also in reverse, before stopping altogether.

I spoke to my dealer about this, and she had come across the same problem once before, which was rectified by changing the light bulb. Incidentally, the light was still working.
I changed my light bulb and all is now well. Hope it works for you, all the best.

This error indictaes that the upper thread is broken. If it is not the sensor is telling the computer the thread is broken. Try tightening the upper thread tension some and rethread the upper thread.
