Hi,
what do you use to command? hardware or software?
if you use the remote control, is it on same channel than the receptor (camera)? (see letter and number !) same for hardware IP controler, see channel, and if software, are you signed in as admin or only viewer ?

use the camera digital or cell cam and with the remote control viewn see if the LED are ON. see the photo attached.
If do not do it. Open the remote control clean the keypads from corrosion, and resolder any colder joint . clean the contacts batteries and try again.

When I try to hook up my iPhone it won't work...but an iPod touch or a flash drive will...any suggestions ...

Whats up mate? , this solution' is more theory but at the same time could answer what seems maybe an obvious , answer!? I haven't looked up yo car centre mounted sound sys model(dope by the way looking good!), a touch screen with some variant-Linux os to complete(yes multiple commands)essentially one sys main end command !, power, run, play, boost bass, equalise, in/de volume, 'Plug n Play expansion media- USB Flash drive- breakbeat folder....track6" the 'SLAVE' formatted to 'it' the 'MASTER OS' (Car) Sound system. iPhone, a 'Smart phone' is run by an .....OS! in applescript, applets. iPod is specifically written to 'plug n play', yes iPhone has quick player 7...iPod onboard but 'CONTROLLED' by its own 'Master OS'! In essence plug into AUX and nope iPhone is not and won't respond as a slave sorry dude. Like SLR camera into a pc via usb its Slave-Master config, commanded to upload .....photo's! As a USB Flash in yo ride, plug in a Device or another Master .....No playback! However.......-.......the word is Interface! Await that second post ok mate?;) Does that state the obvious though Bro?

My bose soundlink air does not respond to all commands on remote

Have that remote tested---I have and most shops have a tester---point remote at the tester and press any or all buttons and the tester reacts or not. Most common cause if only certain buttons do not work is liquid got inside.

Many digital cameras are able in a extremely dark room to respond in the same way when the remote is pointed at them and buttons pressed with a faint flash on the camera display screen---a go or no go test for every button.

When I changed cds, the carosel starting turning and won't stop or respond to any other commands. I turned off, and then back on and it just keeps turning.

It sounds like it's a position sensor issue, either the player is not detecting the cd's in the carousel or it's not detecting which position it's in. Try looking for a sensor and cleaning it with some isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip.

Message: Lock lens aperture ring at minimum aperture (largest f-number) I think I'm doing this but the message won't go away and the camera won't work.

You must lock the aperture ring to f/22, so the camera can engage the aperture adjustment lever on the lens. Then, you can change the aperture with the command wheel.

When you change the aperture with the command wheel the aperture ring on the lens doesn't move when the camera actually adjusts the lens aperture.

Take the lens off and locate the aperture adjustment lever on the lens mount.

Unfortunately, this won't work with older AF lenses. So if you are using an older lens, the only thing you can do is change the camera setting to M (Manual) to adjust the aperture on the lens yourself.
