system error e225 refer to bad connection or power failure to the scanner, sometime can be solved, please follow this procedure:
1. switch machine on and wait till fully initialize, while it is "alive" disconnect power cord
2. leave disconnected for 10min
3. if possible - connect to known working different power socket (directly to the wall socket! no extensions, no power boards!)
4. wait till fully initialized, check if error still display, if not - problem solved,
if still error is displayed, go to canon site (this is not us unit, select therefore your appropriate division, somewhere there find contact and ask them for firmware update:
