Robinair cooltech 34788 scale error reset

You may overfill the ISV tank. #1 Open front cover & close LIQUID valve on the ISV. #2 Disconnect LIQUID hose from tank, then open tank liquid valve (which you close earlier) to reduce some refrigerant manually from the ISV tank. #3 after reduce refrigerant from tank, re-connect everything & switch on the machine. #4 If you still have the same problem then you have to re-calibrate the scal. Hi. We've got a CoolTech 34788. Whenever the machine tries to purge air from the tank, we are consistently getting a message saying that the "Air purge timed out". The internal tank shows ~10 lbs of r134a....

It's sound like normal. However when thes message come again you just press Stop/No key to terminates this function. Press Recover & see if the machine is going to recovery after self clearing. If it is then you can continue to work. Hope this will help you best of luck!

The display shows 13.20 lb but the tank is empty and will not fill.

The display MAY be showing the TARE weight of the tank which would probably be near the 13Lb you are reading. There may be a reset for this to zero it. I have a different unit so I can only point out possibilities.

I would carefully read the proceedure to make sure all steps you are using are correct... If a connection is not quite right that might be blocking the recovery.

Nothing will display on the read out

The following reset procedure is used when the scale shows an err2, err, 0.0, inaccurate weight, or some other unusual error.
  1. Remove the battery from the scale.
  2. Sit the scale on a hard surface floor.
  3. Step up onto the scale, stand still for about 5 seconds and step off the scale.
  4. Re-install your battery.
  5. Place the scale back on a hard surface floor.
  6. With one foot only, place just enough weight on the scale for the display shows zero’s or dashes. Once you see zeros or dashes remove your foot.
  7. Wait for the scale to turn off again.
  8. Step up onto the scale for a weight.
If the reset is successful, you should receive a weight right away. If you continue to receive one of the error messages above please call our Customer Service department or contact us via email. You can also try the reset procedure a 2nd time. Sometimes the reset procedure will work the second time.
