Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
My black diamond tv although old has been working fine until now. however its now stuck in standby mode. when i try to power it on the red light will flick off for a split second but nothing from the green.
Just have a try by make it a hard reset. Just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 20 minutes or so.; This must make it a hard reset. If it too does't help you, the main board of the TV is likely to be faulty. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Try disconnecting your PS3 and then for 10 seconds if that doesn't work, disconnect all jackets meaning all usb connection ports connected in it. Remove them, then turn on your ps3 see what happens (without using the controller), then disconnect the ps3 cord that connects to your extension cord or jacket and plug it back in. Try it again. Then again with the controller could try.
Try disconnecting other ports such as other stuff like as listed, Irons,Fans, etc.
!!!!!!DON'T USE TOO MUCH POWER!!!!
The Same thing happened to me on my Wii though.
If nothing works call Customer Support (SONY)

it works for slimline PS2. might work for PS3.
1) turn off PS3
2) unplug PS3 and wait a minute or two before plugging back in.
3) turn on PS3
hope this helps.
it could also be overheating.

Keep trying for a while, eventually you will get the YLOD. This is a failed power supply. You need to either get a new one from eBay or send it in for repairs. I'd recommend getting one off ebay, even just used - unless it's in warranty, sending it to Sony will be very expensive ($150) and you will not get your own unit back.

Testimonial: "Cool! I've suspected it was power supply. I'm sending it to a Technician. There is no Sony support in my country. It's all unnoficial, sadly."
