First, wipe out any excess crumbs. Then fill a microwave-safe bowl with about 1-2 cups of water. Add some lemon juice, or put in half a piece of fresh cut lemon (squeezing some juice out first) into the bowl... Microwave until the water is boiling. Then let it sit for a few minutes to let the steam penetrate the interior. Carefully remove the bowl and interior tray. Wipe down the interior with a damp cloth. Wash the tray in the sink with dish soap, dry, and then return to microwave. For the outside, spray with a kitchen cleaner and wipe with paper towels. The main idea is that the steam from the water will loosen food particles, and the lemon will add a fresh smell.

Burned stains on inside of microwave

The area will first have to be sanded smooth and cleaned and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

I have dried on grease stains on the bottom of my pots and also there is a whitish colored film that remains after the pots are washed and dried. I need to know how to clean them.

Spray Oven Cleaner all over stains, SEAL inside plastic garbage bag, leave bag for 2 days, wash pans with scrubber pad, stains should be soft and come off with a little rubbing.

How do I clean the inside of the microwave? It is

DO NOT use SOS pads! They are made of STEEL WOOL and will remove the protective finish inside the oven cavity. Without the protective coating, the microwave can arc internally and ruin the magnetron. Use the green scrub pads you find in the dish detergent section of your local grocery store. They are considered non-abrasive. Use the green scrub pads along with a non-abrasive cleaner such as Soft-Scrub or 409. Wipe clean with a fresh water and dry with a clean cloth.

    Popcorn stain in Microwave

Uhhhmmm, paint? Inside a microwave? YUCK.... that would make food taste like paint.

The yellow stain from microwave able popcorn is most likely a permanant issue. I have heard of the vinegar water, bleach etc working, but never had it work for me.

I don't recommend you painting the inside of a microwave. Some paint is flammable. Almost all paints are toxic.

    Kenmore Over the Range Microwave

If you think the window is stained, you ought to see the rest of the inside! Wife is probably right. (wink, wink, nod, nod)
Actually, you can take the cover off, remove the front panel without much effort and clean everything and get a lot more life out of it. Microwaves usually die because of heat related problems caused by buildup of yuck on the guts.
Hope Ya Make your Wife Happy!
