Usually, all aftermarket stereos have a standard wire colo code. Red being the positive current coming from the accessory switch, yellow being the current directly from the battery, black being ground and so forth. Simplest way to wire this up will be to go to your local car stereo shop and ask them for the wiring haress that goes on the dash side made specifically for your car model. It will come with the right color wires, so once you got it you just need to pair up the wires together and plug it into the dash like it was an OEM radio. The red goes with the red, yellow with yellow and so forth. Just be careful once you hit the speaker wires which are white, grey, green and purple since they have a positive and negative one, but its not too hard, just pay attention to the stripes or marks on the wires, one is plain colored and the other is striped, plain being positive and striped being negative.

The beep is because the radio is still waiting the correct code.
the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
(There are usually two barcodes on one label. The one required is the lower one )
There is a 20% chance of you having this barcode Serial Number
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
If you DO have this Barcode Serial Number , then
POST A NEW QUESTION
requesting the code

Testimonial: "I cant enter any more codes becos the display reads 'END'.No bar code so looks like I have to pay £20 to the dealer. Thank you for your reply, regards"
The PU-9971 uses a hardwired code system inside your radio and will require specialist advice.
as they are the only source I know that will help you for free
