SOURCE: the headset was paired with old phone, but will

Have you tried putting the phone back in to pairing mode? To do this press and hold the call control button while the power to the headset is off. Then search for the headset with the new phone. When the phone prompts you for the passkey, enter 0000

have your phone bluettoth enabled and ready to search for devices

Once it finds it simply use 0000 or 1234 as the code when the phone asks you

Hold down the power button on the earpiece uuntill you see flashing lights (either blue/red or blue/green and let go of the power button

Make sure the earpiece is fully charged before doing this as it may fail otherwise.

SOURCE: my plantronic 220 explorer blue tooth will not

Try to put it in pairing mode, prior to pairing it with your phone. To do it, begin with it turned off. Then, if it is the first time it is being paired, just by turning it on (i.e. by pressing and holding the call button for some 2 seconds), it should enter the pairing mode. Otherwise, keep holding the call button past the time required to turn it on (for some 8 seconds), until its indicator light is flashing in red and blue, thus indicating it is in pairing mode. Either way within the next 2 minutes, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, your headset should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or passkey, or PIN) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, your headset should enter the stand-by mode.

By the way, if its user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.

Please, let me know if I can help you any further.

Regards, Carlos

SOURCE: can't sync my plantronics explorer 240 to my i phone

Here are some things to try. Remember that newer phones are like small computers, so they may become corrupt over time and you may need to reset them every so often. Simply turn your phone off and remove again the battery for a few seconds, then replace the battery and turn it back on again. The attached user guide for the Plantronics Explorer 230 (240) on page 7 will show you how to turn off / on the headset (to reset headset) and then page 4 will walk you through the pairing process. Remember to remove any lingering bluetooth connections from your phone.

My bluetooth is paired i can not hear out of it

t sounds like the phone and headset may not be paired up correctly.
First, remember that newer phones are like small computers, so they
may become corrupt over time and you may need to reset them every so
often. Simply turn your phone off and remove the battery for a few
seconds, then replace the battery and turn it back on. Purge from the
phone any pairing information for your Explorer 240 headset and pair
it again to your phone, following carefully the instructions on the
attached link for the Plantronics Explorer 240. Also, make sure there
isn't any other bluetooth interference.

How do u bluetooth in descovery mode

The Bluetooth headset in discovery mode is looking to connect to another Bluetooth device, be it a mobile phone or computer. Before you can use your headset, you will need to pair the two devices (or make them discover each other) so the headset has something to communicate through. This headset user guide has the pairing instructions on pages 3-5.

Explorer 240 keeps shutting down even if Iphone 4 is in pocket. need to power off or resett bluetooth on phone

It may be something having to do with an upgrade application that may have been done. If this was what happened then you may have to down grade back to original settings. If this is not the case I would do a hard reset with cell phone let your battery go dead, remove from phone. place it back in and recharge re do the pair and or subscribe.

I have a plantronics 240 that I want to pair up with a samsung dart, but it want to pair up with other phones and not the ear piece

You want to make sure that other bluetooth devices are not interfering with the connection, and it sounds like that is what's happening.

Check the phone manual for instructions on how to do it then remove the phone battery, if possible, for a few seconds and reconnect (resets the phone). Then re-pair the headset to the phone following the instructions on the this link for the Plantronics Explorer 240.
