Question about KitchenAid KEHS02RMT Electric Dryer

1 Answer

YKEHSO2RWHO starts o.k. but stop within a few minutes

YKEHSO2RWHO starts fine with auto or manual but stops within 4 minutes or shorter. Thermister is new, Thermal fuse O.K., Thermal cut-off ok, high-limit thermostat o.k, passes all the diagnostic tests.

Run only air dry mode, dryer behaves the same. Starts then stop within 2 minutes.

Is this the control board?

    Hi,

The moisture sensor is just fine. It passed the moisture sensor factory test.

I have a kitchenAid dryer model YKEHS02RMT1 just
about 2 years. (it was brand new when I bought it.)
I tested this thermal fuse and it is still
    O.K.
I just replace the thermister even though the old
    one is still O.K.
I ran the diagnostic tests that came with the
trouble shoot sheet, all the tests are passed.

The problem that I am having is that the dryer
would stop voluntary in around 2 or 4 minutes in either auto or manual
    mode.

When it stops, the symptons are :
    1) The front door open
    2) the remain timer indicator flashing
    3) no sound

I also noticed that, the front door would
automatically opens when the dryer is in idle when the inside the dryer is still
    hot.

Would you have any idea why the door automatical
open by itself? Does the controller control the opening of the
    door?

    Thank you in advance,

    Hong

Convection oven shuts off after a minute when trying to bake. Does this during Compubake also.. Does not preheat

Possibly a bad oven temp sensor. If the uinit doesnt read a temperature it will shut down to prevent a fire or over heating. The temp sensor is a thermister A temperature variable resistor that changes value as the temp changes. so If the main board doesnt get a response within a vertain resistance range it shuts things down. Sometimes since those parts are in the actual cooking area and subject to the heat and steam from cooking they can rust and break, or just get old and break. Or slam the door and break, you get the idea!!

2000 Yukon runs fine once started, but once warmed up, if I stop and shut off and try to restart within a few minutes it won't. If I wait about 5 minutes it'll start up fine. No problems during normal...

check the spider.. EFI spiders are in intake and deliver fuel down intake runners,, they get old and crack and dribble causing un antomized fuel to leak into cylinders causing hard start a d drivability problems

After washer runs for a few minutes it stops and runs agains, stops and runs again with stop and start intervals getting shorter and never finishes cycle. Seems it's unable to spin continuously.

there are usualy sensors for the spin so that the drum is balanced properly if one of the sensors is faulty it will not spin or if the wate is not draining aswell so check the owners manual to see if there are any tests for he sensors that can be run to give you a code for the fault
