What would cause my truck to start and then immediately die when using remote start?

The fuel pump is suspect but I believe there's also a fuel filter inline on the underside of the drivers side chassis. Fuel works off pressure so if the filter is clogged, the pressure remains between the fuel tank and the filter. Once the fuel has siphoned off between the filter and injectors, it dies but because there's positive pressure at the fuel pump, it won't come on until the pressure slowly seeps past the clog after hours. It's worth a look!

If it dies immediately when you remove the starting fluid the issue has to be with fuel delivery.

Try having the cataletic converter checked. It sounds like thats the
problem to me.

use remotes to lock/unlock car/set alarm immobiliser, then reset alarm.

SOUND LIKE PROBLEM IS IN THE FUEL SYSTEM AND TIMING OFF.CHANGE FUEL FILTER HAVE FUEL PRESSURE CHECK.IT SHOULD RANGE FROM 34 - 40 PSI AND 53 - 59 PSI.SHOULD BE NO LOWER.IF FUEL PRESSURE GOOD.HAVE TIMING CHECKED.MAKE SURE PLUGS + WIRES GOOD ALSO CAP AND ROTOR.HAVE INJECTORS CLEANED.ALL THIS COULD CAUSE THE PROBLEM YOU HAVING.

replace fuel filter first check fuel pressure.

If engine dies while driving and locks trigger then program your remote not to lock/unlock when turning on/off ignition. My car did that for a while before i figured it out and now my car actually runs 100% better and I've had no problems since.....
