I would call it lousy user interface, or LUI. Many companies don't think about the ease to program their devices, radio or otherwise.

How do I program the PL on a Motorola AUX4100 radio?

While it could be done by hand, I must recommend you get a programming cable. The programming is terribly difficult by hand and any mistake means you must start over and you could also change your frequency. The cable uses your existing drop in charger base. The software is a free download from Motorola. This is for the RDX radios:

Will not transmitt

Are you programming the radio or did you buy it used? In the programming, a radio can be set for receive only. The other possibility is a bad battery. A battery has a huge draw on transmit and may not actually send a signal. Think of it like trying to start a car. I encounter this issue weekly. (poor battery) Post more information if you want me to help you. Such as: do you have the software, is it a fresh battery. How old is the radio. Let me know.

How do i put a program in to my Vertex Standard VX-929 VHF 136-174 Mhz radio handheld portable transceiver

Nice commercial quality radio. You will need a commercial radio shop to program it. Otherwise you need the particular programming cable and software for that radio to do the job. The fact that you are asking this means that it more than likely it is beyond your area of expertise. If you searched the web for programming software and also programming cable you might succeed . Otherwise order both from Vertex USA, Much easier to go to a shop, BTW you need a valid FCC business or GMRS radio license to transmit.

How to reset tk 3107 keenwood

The Kenwood TK-3101 are programmed through the old DOS based program and a program cord. The only way to "reset" is also through the cord. Finding both the program and cord might be difficult but i do have those and let me know if you need assistance?

Radio keeps making a beeping noise about every 3 seconds like if your storeing a channell

Ideally we need more information - e.g what make, model and year car this is and whether this is a standard factory fit radio you are referring to or what circumstances brought about the behaviour e.g battery disconnect.

However, in general this type of problem often occurs in vehicles that have been refitted with a factory radio from another vehicle. What happens is that whilst this radio is standard fit - is not recognised by the cars ECU as it has not been programmed in. The resulting regular beep is a supposed security feature used by some vehicle manufacturers to deter thieves etc...

If this radio has come from another vehicle you will have to go to the dealer to have it programmed in to be accepted by your cars ECU. If not please give a full description of the issue as outlined above and we will be better placed to advise.

I have programmed my pro164 scanner using win97 software and the pc patch cable. i have frequencies programmed to channels onto bank 0. i also programmed the desired talkgroups onto bank 0. problem is when...

you will have to buy the Radio Shack USB cable 20-047 and install
the driver for it and then I downloaded a program named
"Win97" from the website as listed
on page 21 of the Pro-164 manual. The cable costs
$34.99 and with tax you are looking at about $37.88.

The "Win97" software must be registered for it to work
after a 30-day free trial period. That's approx $25.00.

This is the ONLY WAY to go !! You put in everything
on the software GUI and then upload it to the PRO-164.
Works like a champ .
but if you have tried doing this.i advise do it again.again run the program by connecting the cable again.if you have not tried it then do it again. if still the same problem.then it might be the problem with the scanner.get it rechecked from radio shack. there are many many users facing this same problem this particular model of radioshack scanner and other model in which this same problem occurs is pro-197. get it checked with radio This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

We are not familiar with your Kenwood model, yet we believe what you are experiencing is a programming issue. During programming (on Motorola equivalent radios) there should be a place where they choose how you want your pager to reacte in combination with the radio. Usually it is as simple as choosing "AND" or "AND/OR" in the signalling section of the programming. You might check back with your Kenwood dealer, or with another Kenwood dealer who is more knowledgeable on your particular model's paging feature.
