Question about HP LaserJet 3330 All-In-One Printer
In english:"Scannererror...switch off...switch on". This situation occurs frequently after making a copy and later trying to print from one of our two Laptops. Trying to fix it by switching off (and even waiting for a longer time) and than switching on produces inevitably the same error message.
When we switch on, the system goes through the normal proceedure in warming up the scanner and moving the scanner rod by about 4 cm forth and back in illuminated stage... and soon after, the error message appears again.
If we go through this nervewrecking proceedure repeatedly and in long intermissions....may be after 20 or more times we succeed to get the display "Bereit" (engl.: "Ready").
Can you help us?
Gratefully yours Hans-Carl Koch (email@example.com)
This error happens as the scan lamp ages and dust and debris settle on the mirrors and lenses. You need to remove the glass and clean the lamp surface and lenses, sadly if this doesn't help, new parts are hard to come by and are as pricey as a new machine.
