Why are totals rounding off

In the product details of this calculator, it states that there is a "decimal point selector." This is normally a slider starting with the letter F followed by the numbers 0123 etc. It is probably on 0. You can set the number of decimals to whatever you want, or use F for full numbers. For example, if you set this to 2, you should always get 2 decimals.

Good luck,

Paul

How to change decimal point

If you want all entries and answers to have two numbers after the decimal, you should have a lever or slide that shows F,6,3,2,1,0. Some also show Add. Set the lever on the 2 or add. F means floating decimal. the others indicate how many numbers after the decimal.

Ok so i got this new calculator the staples BD-6410 and I am about to loose my mind. When i put in 2.5 "squared" i get 25/4 how do i get it NOT to give me a fraction but a decimal????

above the DEL key, you should have a button S (2 sided arrows) D. press that, and it will give you the decimal value. If you know how to use this calculator, it is a great help in almost any math course.
