On the front of the system, press and hold Clock button until the hour flashes. Then press the Digital tuning arrows for up or down. Watch the display for AM or PM. Stop on your hour. Press and hold the Clock button again til the minutes flash. Press the Digital Tuning arrows again for up or down. Immediately press Program Set button under the Digital Tuning arrows to set the program in. If you do not press Prog Set soon enough, you will have to do the whole thing all over.

If you have cleaned the CD lens using a cotton swab and alcohol and it continues to skip, try cleaning the rails that the optics assembly rides on using a clean cotton swab. Sometimes the grease on the rail gets contaminated with dust and that causes the optics assembly to stick a bit. The motor that moves the optics assembly will generate more torque and when the optics finally move, they overshoot the target position. This results in a loss of information that you hear as a skip.
If neither suggestion works, please update this and we'll try another option.

I have this system. According to the manual you have to do the following. 1. Press and hold the TIMER/CLOCK button until CLOCK appears in the display under the time. 2. Press the SET button once and the hour will flash. 3. Use the << or >> buttons to ascend or descend to the correct hour. 4. Press the SET button again and the minutes will flash. 5. Use the << or >> buttons to ascend or descend tot he correct minutes. The time will flash for a few seconds and be set when it stops. I have tried those steps and you may have to do them a few times in order to get the time right. It's a little tricky. I haven't bothered to reset the time as I have other devices that display the time without the back and forth with this device. It's a nice system and the sound is okay for my purposes. Hope this helps.
