SOURCE: How to tighten the hinges on a slow close toilet seat?

You don't want to overtighten since you could crack the porcelain. Are your rubber washers in good shape? This will help. You should be able to do this w/out doing any damage.

SOURCE: Toilet seat hinges are loosening

Most generic seats have a thin plastic cap that snaps in place over the bolt heads just behind the seat. Normally they hinge backwards so carefully pop them open with a flat blade screwdriver. Sometimes you can tighten the bolts from underneath even.

They all work pretty much the same. Feel around the top rim of the bowl near where the tank meets the bowl you should find one bolt underneath on either side of the toilet seat. Tighten the nut under there to tighten the seat.

Self closing all in one tolet seat boxed, hidden screws, how to tighten

If you are trying to install a standard toilet seat on a special "smooth sides" toilet, it likely will not work. Most hidden bolt toilets come with a special seat because you cannot get to anything from below. This special seat has a set of expanding style bolts that are attached to the screw that is part of the seat. The plastic expanding bolt goes into the hole(s) on the toilet, and as you tighten the screw on the toilet seat bolts, they expand the plastic part in the hole of the ceramic toilet.

I purchased a Fresca FTL2336 Apus One-Piece toilet and installed it. I can hear a constant drip of water escaping from the tank causing the toilet to refill every few hours. I have lifted the flapper,...

The flapper may be defective or not seating completely which causes a continuing slow leak until the tank level drops low enough to cause the flush valve to refill it. I find a cheap flapper lasts just as long as more expensive ones and lasts about as long. Arbitrary replacement of the flapper is a regular periodic maintenance item
