Question about Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-ray Disc Player
New Samsung BD-P1600 Blue Ray DVD player. Turn on with no disk and get the NetFlix & Pandora menu. Then a few seconds later the picture pixelates, distorts and freezes the system. Happens intermitenly but occured 5 times in a row. Viewed a regular DVD with no problem, haven't viewed a Blue Ray yet. Wound up watching my NetFlix movie on my Xbox but tried the player after and it worked. Is it a product defect or just a lemon. I looked at other reviews and postings and did not see this problem.
I assume you have a wireless or Ethernet connection for your BDP1600? It may not be working and the first thing your player needs to do is get a firmware update and this won't happen if you do not have an Internet connection. If you do have an Internet connection, look to see if there is some sort of "software update" button somewhere within the tv-based menu system.

Tips for a great answer:
the steps below to reset your player. Resetting the player reverts all
settings back to factory default meaning the network settings must be reconfigured
after the reset is performed.
