Faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent.
Sounds like T'Con board fault. For some models of Samsung LCD TVs, this part is built in the panel, means non-replaceable. Contact any service technician. On an electrolytic it is marked at the NEGATIVE terminal by a Black Stripe, or the like, on the NEGATIVE side of the Capacitor, that always goes to Negative/Earth. The other one is of course Positive. They are orientated with the Neg on the Black side of the PCB markings.
I would think its a T-con bard fault its the main board for the screen over time they ware out from heat. this control the picture for the screen. they can go in many ways, black screen mixed or shadows even star screen and scramble type screen. and white lines and even half working only.
sounds like a problem with the main board and or av connector cord. contact vizio and let them know you are seeing some red pixelation. some parts on vizios carry lifetime warranties, it has been my experience that this is a covered issue. hope this helps.
