public nudity is legal in numerous places, there's and has been resistance, no doubt some of that resistance comes from people who are religious.

What does ohms mean?

an ohm is a designated unit of measurement concerning the resistance of an electrical conductor. The definition of resistance is "the opposition to the flow of electrons"

Think of it in terms of plumbing pipes-a large pipe is low resistance and allows more flow. a small pipe is high resistance and restricts flow.

Will not charge battery Wisconsin engine

There are small diodes in the charging circuit. Cheak them with an ohmmeter. Should read high resistance one way and low resistance the opposite way. If it conducts the same both ways, it's faulty. Option is to remove it and take it to radio shack, they will test it for you. They will have a replacement diode too.

Shimano 7970 di2 trouble shooting

Disconnect brake cable at brake. Check operation without any cable resistance. If its OK, remove cable from brake lever end. Check lever operation without resistance. Use a bit of sewing machine or light oil to lubricate lever pivot, cable. If no problem found reinstall in opposite order.

What is a thermistor?

Thermistors are inexpensive, easily-obtainable temperature sensors. They are easy to use and adaptable. Circuits with thermistors can have reasonable outout voltages - not the millivolt outputs thermocouples have. Because of these qualities, thermistors are widely used for simple temperature measurements. They're not used for high temperatures, but in the temperature ranges where they work they are widely used. Thermistors are temperature sensitive resistors. All resistors vary with temperature, but thermistors are constructed of semiconductor material with a resistivity that is especially sensitive to temperature. However, unlike most other resistive devices, the resistance of a thermistor decreases with increasing temperature. That's due to the properties of the semiconductor material that the thermistor is made from. For some, that may be counterintuitive, but it is correct. Here is a graph of resistance as a function of temperature for a typical thermistor. Notice how the resistance drops from 100 kW, to a very small value in a range around room temperature. Not only is the resistance change in the opposite direction from what you expect, but the magnitude of the percentage resistance change is substantial.

How do you test a thermister?

It should have a certain resistance, probably in the 100's and 1000's K Ohms range. Then when you heat the thermistor the resistance will decrease by fractions of its room temperature value. That is opposite from other materials with a certain resistance. Cool a thermistor and resistance will double, or even triple.

Stalled while driving, now will not start and run.

check with inline spark tester between the coil and the plug wires for fire. also check the sparkplugs for a fouled out condition. if all checks out then check the coil with ohm meter. unplug the ignition wire connector from the coil. there should be 3 terminals on the coil. connect the ohm meter to the center pin and the other to either outside pin to check primary resistance. then using the ohm meter check the secondary resistance by connecting one end of ohm meter one tower on coil and the other end of ohm meter across to the opposite side of coil to check resistance. primary resistance--0.95- 1.20 ohms secondary resistance-- 11,300 to 13,300 ohms. if it does not check out then replace the coil.

first if no power check the internal ceramic safety fuse, then check the H.V. diode for front to back resistance(hi one way-low in the opposite direction),then check your H.V. capacitor for being open(if its shorted it will blow the internal fuse), starts with some resistance on up to no resistance(carefully discharge the cap before doing any of these checks),these are your most likely suspect components if you have some power, but no cooking

When the gas tank is full the gas gauge shows as empty. When the gas tank is empty the gas gauge shows as full.

Well that tells me that someone installed the wrong fuel level sensor. Your going to have to drop the tank and pull the pump and float assymbly out. Then go to a parts store and get a sending unit that has the opposite resistance of that sending unit. Just wait until the tank is empty so its a lot lighter. You can call the parts store or go down and see if there is multiple sending units. The sending units work by resistance, when the tank is full the float moves up and turns a wheel in the sending unit, which either removes or increases the resistance causing the gauge to lower. The sending units either give full resistance at full or no resistance at full and then changes as the level goes down until it does the opposite at empty.
