Freezer compartment does not get cold enough.

Check freezer compartment door seals. Also make sure that the evaporator is not icing over with a block of ice. If so, the self defrost mechanism is not working - check the defrost timer and/or the heating element. And do not forget to check the thermostat for proper operation. Sometimes the unit will just go bad and it needs to be replaced if it opens prematurely.

Refridgerator not working on power

If it is working on LP but not on AC then I would start by checking the power at the outlet behind the refrigerator. If you have power there then using a multi meter check the power into the circuit board and also power out of the board to the heating elements. If you do not have power coming out of the board then the board is bad and needs to be replaced. Next, check the heating elements which are located in the heat riser tube to the right of the refrigerator (looking at it from the back side). Disconnect the heating element from the circuit board and using a digital multi meter check the ohms. You should get a reading of approximately 44ohms +/- 10%. If you are out of range then you have a bad heating element. Be careful when removing the heating element as they have a bad tendency of welding themselves to the cooling unit and if your force it loose you could damage the cooling unit. If the element is not moving at all then there is a secondary tube next to the heating element that you can install another element into.

The top half of both the freezer and refrigirator are warm. It is apparent there is no cooling occurring in the top half of both compartments. There is frost on the bottom back wall of the freezer but...

Its not likely that you disconnected anything. If you did it would be obviouse by a wire being loose or hanging out in the open unplug the fridge before poking around though. The frost points to a possible problem you could have a ice block in the back. Does the fan in the fzr run? If not your unit could have a defrost timer under the bottom where you cleaned it and you unplugged it. Usually newer fridges have the defrost timer in the top of the fridge side. If the fan is running the next thing to ask is if the compressor is running if not the compressor starter may be bad it is located under the plastic cap on the compressor and is about the size of a nickel and will be hooked to one of the 3 prongs of the compressor its a cheap part. If he compressor is running your heating element (defrost element) in the fzr compartment may be bad it is located where it is in contact with the cooling coils in the fzr compartment usually behind the back wall of the fzr. It can be testedwith a ohm meter and will be a long black or glass part. Attached to one end of the heating element is a limit switch it a round pastic and metal sensor apx the size of a quarter with two wires one goes to the defrost element. Its job is to limit the heat so it melts ice but does not heat the fzr up. I hope this helps good luck and remember to unplug the fridge and be safe.

Refrigerator not getting cold...freezer working fine. Power to unit is good

1st check the evaporator coil behind the rear panel in the freezer compartment if its frozen,de-ice it with a hair dryer, thencheck the heater defrost element to make sure it heats under the evaporator coil,if its good then check the defrost control that powers that element,if both are good then it may be a bad damper vent door between the 2 compartments inside that sends cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator, then if this is open, then its the ptc overload on the units compressor that has gone out,it is located on the compressors body and unplugs off the compressor and replaces easily

Whirlpool Duet dryer not drying like it used to

If your duet isn't heating properly and you have taken care of the lint problem then you could have one of two problems. Either you have a bad heating element or you have a bad fuse or temperature sensor.
If your dryer is not heating at all then it is most likely the fuse or temp sensor. If it is heating and just not enough it is probably a bad heating element.
Both problems would require a repairman to come and fix normally, however if you believe it is the heating element that can usually be replaced by the homeowner without too much trouble. Just make sure to ask where it is located from whatever place you but the new element from.

LG LFC25760 not working

This error appears when the fridge goes into defrost mode (after a few hours of initial startup and therefore a sign that your PCB is probably just fine). Look into the thermostor in the freezer compartment (mine was bad, a $2 part from Radio Shack), the defrost heating element or the temperature sensor in the freezer compartment.
